The hallways are seemingly empty of ghosts, even the vessels themselves having gone silent. The Miasma hangs in the air, as if waiting for your decision.

[She takes a deep breath and reaches for the lock. If all goes according to plan, a glob of putty will be pressed against it, wriggle deeper, and then a second later will shift into a metal key with the appropriate grooves and whatnot.

[It's not a bad idea, and the door starts to give! But as soon as it opens a tiny crack, thousands of spiders start spilling in, crawling all over the door, wall, and even down the crowbar towards Emil's hands.]

Well. The spiders that aren't incinerated scuttle off to hide under furniture and in cracks in the walls and such. So they're at bay, for now.

But door still stuck, and crowbar might not be a good idea. What else you got?]
