RECORDING 16: THE FINAL WEEK.

A sixth week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. It's feeling more and more like something's about to break.
There isn't any increase in Miasma, but you can tell it seems...excited. Overjoyed, like a predator bracing itself for the chase of the hunt. The fog is everywhere, and inescapable...
The Temperature is holding stead at the 50's, and nippy to need a layer or two. As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.
13 of your number still remain.
...How will this all end...?

...
He'll send an explosion of fire directly towards the lion charging his way, and coincidentally in his other hand had an axe summoned. Hopefully someone could have attacked here at the same time or come in to assist in some manner.
Anyway, he's able to cast at least one more time. So he'll just use that to cast another wide area of attack, choosing the spot of spiders shepherding or whatnot as Ky had rescue coming in.
Still, things seemed to be progressing in a difficult manner for him (even though things will end soon but shh) ]
extra defense works?
He's going to play a song of calm to work on weakening the Miasma spider with purification.
It might even weaken or push back the dead if they are close enough. ]

And the music, the terrible, screeching music...! The lion scrambles away, putting his hands over his ears]
Urggggh. You factoring hectopascals...!
[but then, Battler's voice rings out, and Sho stands up, his head almost hitting the ceiling]
Heh. Good enough, huh? Well then. Later, zeroes.
[Sho takes his singed self and sinks into the floor, vanishing into the wisps of miasma]

...... Well, he heard Battler's announcement, and then brought himself to his feet, dusting at himself like he just fell into a pot of mud or such things. ]

Aiya... they certainly are displaying what they can do.

Even with Divinity affected, this body was created to be sturdy, so at least that counted for something. ]
Hmph. That's not the only thing, apparently.
Did you hear what he said? It seems they were trying to also gauge our capabilities. I suppose that means that even that creature was concerned about what we had in store.

...I dare you to try repeating that idea to everyone else. At the very least, it's not that.
They don't really seem to care if we decline the invitation or no in the end, as they're well overconfident that we're at a severe disadvantage. I could practically hear the arrogance dripping in that specter's tone.
[ And he knew at the very least, what arrogance sounded like. Exhibit A, Himself. ]

So, it's not to test us. Maybe it's to just gloat? They think we'll just give up just like that.
no subject
[ He still thought it was a test...granted maybe it could not be that. Though if they were gloating, why put them through all of that in the first place? If anything, it's Wei's comment that made him think it might be more than just a 'test'. ]
If it was simply gloating, they wouldn't need to go through so much trouble by bringing in many players in the first place and causing such a ruckus.
Their intentions may be two-fold, in retrospect. To gloat, but also to see if they could gauge something else - if it's not a test based on our powers, it could be that they were attempting to see what kind of reactions we would give. Or they were covering for something.
