RECORDING 15: THE FIFTH TRIAL.

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where all the trials so far have taken place. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Ango, standing as firm and unyielding as ever, waiting for the time when the trial is scheduled to begin.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice is up to you.

VICTIMS: Battler Ushiromiya and Giovanni Potage
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 2

WEEK 5 VOTING

So... who had the means to start burning the body?
zweivoltage: (a curious boy.)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-05-16 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
There was alcohol and cloth used... that's enough to fuel it. It could be fire magic or something mundane like a lighter

So, he was burned with his needles, necklace, and gun... I feel like that could have gone poorly.
zweivoltage: (Stop messing around.)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-05-16 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
It could have. And also why burn the gun or hide it under his body?

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-05-16 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[Ah. It was just a sentence, once at the beginning, but—

"I'm Emil, the one in charge of fire in here."

...she shouldn't jump to conclusions. Focus, Hitoka.]

Maybe... it wasn't supposed to be burnt? Just... with him.
zweivoltage: (Spark in the heart of the dark)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-05-16 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
...Did something catch your attention?
accessorytomurder: (fall head first)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-05-16 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
...I don't want to cast suspicion unnecessarily, but, um... maybe Emil could weigh in on the burning part. It's an area of expertise for him, I think.
zweivoltage: (What is this...?)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-05-16 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
And the bomb... didn't he make a bomb a couple of weeks ago?
accessorytomurder: (take me in)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-05-16 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[Still, skill doesn't equal culpability.

Focus, Hitoka.]

Let's put that aside for a moment. Um, did we ever figure out what all the broken items were for? Or who moved the screen?
zweivoltage: (a curious boy.)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-05-16 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[He nods]

Yes, well, we couldn't figure out what the fragment is, except that it's something small and not part of anything larger.

I suspected the screen might have been the killer.

Like a piece of jewelry, or a trinket...?
eyeforai: (annoying intrusion)

[personal profile] eyeforai 2020-05-16 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Or matches. I think that would be easier, considering you can just toss it into the room and not worry too much about burning yourself. And it'd burn up pretty easily in the fire.
zweivoltage: (a curious boy.)

There were probably matchbooks in the smoking lounge. It wouldn't be too strange for anyone to take a few if they didn't have some already.
eyeforai: (appalling infraction)

[personal profile] eyeforai 2020-05-16 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Might be good to think of who might want matches during the week, then. I don't think most people would carry some around for no reason.
