RECORDING 15: THE FIFTH TRIAL.

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where all the trials so far have taken place. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Ango, standing as firm and unyielding as ever, waiting for the time when the trial is scheduled to begin.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice is up to you.

VICTIMS: Battler Ushiromiya and Giovanni Potage
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 2

WEEK 5 VOTING

[She writes:

"I'd like to think it's two killers. If only for the sake of sparing someone innocent after what happened in Zabuza's trial.

But, two killers, two victims... that would mean there would have to be some coordination, right? Or is it possible they simply happened to go out murdering on the same night?"]

I'm inclined to think that... Battler was ambushed and the scene was set up. It looked like Potage might have fought his attacker, and then he was killed in a horrid fashion. Why would someone use two very different methods?

Would Battler go to the conservatory on his own, especially that late at night?

What do windows have to do with it?

We see a forest... But Battler sees the webbings and half-melted corpses of the people who were left outside

That's... that's assuming kindness on the part of this place. W-With, um... Flayn and Haku's trial, it showed us the Vessels and the house aren't above manipulating the miasma on... on the nights of murder. I-If two people... independently decided that they'd stop the timer themselves...

[And what a sad thought that would be, if they hadn't brutally ended two of the kindest men she had ever known.]

If there were two, I think it's probably possible they had no idea what was happening with the second set of victim and killer. Until we have evidence one way or another, we might not want to rule anything out.

It does seem like these were independent murders, not cooperative ones - Theres' no reason to kill people when only one would fit the demands

[She nods. Then writes: "You're probably right. The only reason would be if one witnessed the other being murdered, but they were in completely different locations, weren't they?"
accessorytomurder: (and everybody goes)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-05-16 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
But, even thenβ€”even if they don't get caught and tried, s-somehow, a single killer has to know that as soon as next week starts, if they're alive they... they'll be in for total hell for what they did. ...right?
zweivoltage: (Please be serious.)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-05-16 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. They'll know what Battler and Giovanni know. Andβ€”Rin-chan, at least, will be brutal.

They might be happy that they're able to be together now, but the way they died...
