From the white lights, the darkness comes...

They've made their choices and no matter what happened in the coming days, they will lie in the beds they made for themselves. Whatever that should mean for each and every single person still living here.
That being said, there's still new choices to make. In the days to come, what will those be?
ballroom;
So, you've decided to come in here? I suppose it is not a surprise, considering the circumstances.
[ He usually didn't bother with sneaking around anyway. That's not how being a King worked. ]

It's quiet, which I could definitely use after this weekend.

[ Never one to really mince words, he'll cross his arms. ]

It was just like the third trial, except this time we willingly made the same mistake twice.

[ Gilgamesh didn't doubt that he would have still voted off Zabuza. However...this trial was different, despite his own efforts. As a King, he'd have to have considered it. What it'd mean for Subete to live, and what it'd mean for him to die.
But let's be real, the both of them knew the outcome was set in stone when Subete revealed himself. ]
Almost just like the third trial; in the third trial we had no one who immediately threw their life away to die midtrial so that there'd be less complications.
[ So maybe taking that into account, it was worse. ]

But it didn't matter, and it won't in the future. Even with Nanaka volunteering that her life was ending soon, there was no budging them.
[ ... ]
Ah well, it hardly matters now, huh? [ There's something kind of dark in the way he says it. ]

[ Two because Ango was also going to be just as much as a literal pain in the damn ass, but they'll see that soon enough.
But anyway. ]
I won't bother wasting your time with a foolish question as to what you believe our chances are. But, I'll ask you this:
Will you still fight?

[ His lips curl upward into a full smile. ]
Of course. I've come this far and I intend to finish what I started.

...I'll be having a meeting tomorrow.
Now's the time to truly start bringing some plans together—including our most extreme ones—and seeing how we could execute them to our advantage because no matter what anyone thought of Subete, he was right to believe we can't simply wait around anymore.
I believe your attendance will add some value to the meeting. Though, I do suppose the choice is up to you.

I'll be there, but I'll likely leave the discussion to you and the others. I'd like to get through this [ He pats the book. ] as fast as possible, but that doesn't mean I can't listen.

[ And he would hope that it did because so far he had been experiencing so many disappointments lately. Sometimes when the bar was so low and yet people manage to dig further past that to get six feet under (not in the sense of their own death but it may as well be)? Ridiculous. ]
I may also ask some questions towards the end of the meeting about your ability. [ With some gracious feet away from the others; possibly right as he hustled most of the people out for last-ditch barrier plan time even. ] I believe it seemed to be like Ango's. And as time goes on, being discreet about...certain matters will be difficult.

Sure. You sound like you might have a plan in mind.
no subject
...I may, yes. At least this one wouldn't exactly be able to be interrupted by foolishness of some kind even if it means it won't work out.
