RECORDING 11: THE FOURTH MURDER.

A fourth week, and this is now definitely routine. Waking on friday, with the knowledge deep down that your number has yet again decreased.

You must still pull yourself from your bed, and discover who is now forever gone.

...But, wait.

What's that smell...?

[ Once Saphir is done mourning the roomba, Hikage will give the lab one last sweep. There's no typical chemicals, but what about the motoroil and other fluids in the lab-- is there anything disturbed about those?

He was in here with Saphir this week and he's got a pretty good memory assuming it's not about his pre Foundation life. ]

[ He can find motoroil, hydraulic fluid, lubricating oil, and the like. None of them appear to be disturbed at a glance, but he might need to check further to be sure. ]

[ More detailed investigation it is! He'll pick the bottles up carefully and hold them up to the light and generally weigh them in his hands just to see if anything is odd here. ]

[ He won't be able to tell if there's anything different from holding them up to the light or weighing them. ]

[ Well he's not a chemist, but he has read a few books on alchemy bc that's what other mansion had as reading materials. So he'll open each carefully and smell it, wafting the fumes towards his nose to make a certain chem TA proud. ]

[ Please give yourself a break between smelling each, because it'll just compound your headache.

Of all the bottles there, he will find that the hydraulic fluid smells both like gas, and a bit like whiskey. Strange.]

[ Chemical headaches, miasma headaches, hangover headaches... just may as well run the full gambit at this point. But huh that's not right. Not that Hikage drinks much whiskey but he knows what alcohol smells like at least.

Guess this is coming with him to trial. Just to be thorough he'll investigate everything else on the workbench, picking it up rotating it and wondering why this is his life now. It woulda been easier to sleep in... ]

[ He can always go back to sleep, since it looks like he found all that he can in there. ]

[ No, he's awake now and stubborn. But if that's all there is to find here, he'll at least go and chug some more water bc oof.

He will give one last look around to see if there are any other points of interest before he leaves! ]
