RECORDING 10: THE FOURTH WEEK.

A fourth week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. The last trial took it's toll, along with the death of an innocent person - executed at behest of the rules of this game.
When you wake up - it's clear the Miasma has yet again gotten thicker. Everyone, including those who were divinely protected until this week, are now even more deeply affected by the curse - though those who possess nullification powers are still safe. Arguments will be flaring up more, along with negative thoughts and feelings...and even more worrying is now that occasional flashes of bad memories will come to the forefront.
Any magic that touches the house itself will corrode over time, just like last week. If a barrier is put in place and touches the floor, walls, or ceiling, in half a day it will be completely consumed by the miasma and fizzle out. Spells or seals will also corrode, and now healing has been drastically reduced to even the most powerful of spells only healing minor injuries.
You will not be able to save a grievously injured person from death through spells anymore.
The Temperature still remains in about the 60's, thankfully - though it is staying on the 'lower' end of the scale. As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.
21 of your number still remain.
...What new horrors await you this week?

[His voices wavers, cracking at the edges]
I don't think knowing it will help but I felt you have to know this what is going on. That they're doing this.
Please... no matter what. We - need to keep going.

[Don't keep them all in suspense.
Don't keep him in suspense.]
no subject
...I will.
[He breathes out, taking a moment to compose himself before he puts his sword on the table, pulling out the blade long enough to take the note out]
Don't yell at Dazai - it's my idea to tell everyone about the note. If you need someone to yell at, it should be the one who started it.
[With that, he opens the note, his hands trembling like a leaf]
Gil, Gin, Zabuza, Subete, Romani, -
[He stops, swallowing hard]
Saphir, Ango, Hikage.

Does it say what those names represent, exactly?

[He lowers his head, so his eyes can't be seen by anyone looking at him]

It can't be, right?
No.

Hahaha, it has...to be lie....']
...That....h-has...to be a lie, isn't it? Romani-sensei? Tell me....it's a lie.
["Soooorry, Batttlllleeeeer..."
Her voice is echoing in his head, with those mocking words.
That's right, this moment....felt just like this, didn't it...?!]

[ battler's reaction was quite possibly the most painful thing that romani had witnessed these past four weeks. even when he saw rin die and even when he cried over her corpse, he did not feel a pain as gut-wrenching as this one.
he feels like someone just knocked the wind out of him, or tore him apart, limb by limb. it's painful, and he can't breathe, and he has to look away from battler with an expression that is so very clearly guilty--]
2/3
watching battler look at him like that, all romani wants to do is run away with his tail between his legs. is this why tohasaka had been so nice to him all week? had she been waiting for this moment, for battler to find out what had happened and who had done what? ]
no subject
so zetta cold. i wonder what tohsaka-chan will have to say about all that next week--wasn't that what sho had told him in the trial?
romani figured that the reaper wasn't that off the mark. but seeing the consequences happen...it was difficult to keep up that pragmatic front. but he had to.
and even though he wants to scream and beg for mercy, he swallows it down to speak in a neutral tone. ]
Yes. I voted for Rin. I voted for Rin because, she was already becoming too influenced by the Miasma. I've no doubt that any more exposure to it and she would have suffered a much slower, torturous descent into madness as she became one with it.

...You have chosen this path of your own will. You no longer have the luxury of looking away.
[She's been in this situation, she understands it all too well. And that's why...]
What you need to do now is confront it, and come to your own truth.

"This doesn't have to divide us... in fact, this could be a unifying force instead.
Hear me out before you accuse me of being stupid."]

I don't like that the majority landed on Rin, but forcibly outing everyone who voted for her when the votes could've fallen any other way leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
no subject
Just be clear about what you mean next time. We're not gonna get anywhere if people are misunderstanding what everyone says.
Either way, I don't have a strong opinion on this. People are already paranoid about who voted for who here. There's nothing stopping them from dropping more notes like this next week though, even if you burn this one.
