RECORDING 10: THE FOURTH WEEK.

A fourth week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. The last trial took it's toll, along with the death of an innocent person - executed at behest of the rules of this game.
When you wake up - it's clear the Miasma has yet again gotten thicker. Everyone, including those who were divinely protected until this week, are now even more deeply affected by the curse - though those who possess nullification powers are still safe. Arguments will be flaring up more, along with negative thoughts and feelings...and even more worrying is now that occasional flashes of bad memories will come to the forefront.
Any magic that touches the house itself will corrode over time, just like last week. If a barrier is put in place and touches the floor, walls, or ceiling, in half a day it will be completely consumed by the miasma and fizzle out. Spells or seals will also corrode, and now healing has been drastically reduced to even the most powerful of spells only healing minor injuries.
You will not be able to save a grievously injured person from death through spells anymore.
The Temperature still remains in about the 60's, thankfully - though it is staying on the 'lower' end of the scale. As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.
21 of your number still remain.
...What new horrors await you this week?
dining room;
His eyes landed on the third glass, however. ]
Did you pour this for one of your friends?
[ He'll take the one in the center of the table anyway. ]

As Gil grabs it, he automatically reaches out, trying to wrap a hand around Gilgamesh's wrist.]
That's an offering for the dead.
Put it down.
[There's no shrinking back - just sheer, direct defiance and strength, as he stares down at Gil without blinking.]
no subject
You would be wise to keep that hand of yours away from me.
[ ... ]
That said, you should have made that more obvious, mongrel. Not everyone is familiar with your customs.
[ He'll make like he's about to drink...but then set it down on the table. If the dead do care about such things, it'd be annoying to deal with. Plus, he actually liked Haku well enough, even if he'd never say. ]

Then, Gilgamesh sets the drink down and implies it's his fault, and all of that just deflates into tired incredulity.]
You're the one who grabbed it before I could say anything or answer you, you know! How the hell is it my fault?
[Rrrrgh....
'I can't believe this guy...he's still like this? Even now?
...I know that confidence is a good thing to have, but...this is too much.']
no subject
Yeah he's making good (not!!!) on that request given to him by Rosa alright. ]
...Hmph, don't make me laugh. Just the mere fact that leaving things as you had so plainly naturally caused such an easy misunderstanding. It simply looked like you had set out drinks to offer to anyone who happened to come on by.
It's no surprise I had almost partaken in a drink so quickly that you barely had time to respond.
[ It was kind of embarrassing in a way.
Either way he'll just keep treating it like this way because that's how he was...though, something about this type of situation seemed familiar. Not in a straightforward manner, just simply it kind of reminded him how their first meeting went. ]
no subject
He sighs himself, shaking his head - not caring about Gilgamesh's scorn.]
I was trying to have a drink in remembrance of someone - an offering's like that, you know, and it's not like there's a shrine for all the dead that I could've put the cup at!
[Though, honestly...that's not a bad idea. Maybe if he can find the materials for it...]
...Aaagh, it's not worth arguing about with you! Forget it - I'll just finish my drink and get out of your way.
no subject
[ He scoffed at such a response. But leaving the situation like this dissatisfied him still. He reasoned it was because the red head had done such a poor job at the set up.
Naturally, Gilgamesh could make it superior even by adding a little something to it. Which would be expected, considering his greater capabilities. ]
If you believe that I'll immediately let you go for the little bit of nonsense you caused, you're sorely mistaken. I'll return shortly.
[ The King left the room, and just as quickly returned with some candles, placing them on the table. At the very least it would actually help set the proper tone. ]
1/2
Only to stop with his glass halfway up as the king comes back with some candles and sets them down, eyes going wide.]

I think....I get it.
He's a tsundere, isn't he?
Ihihihi...man. He couldn't just come out and say that he was sorry, and this is his way of making up for it, huh?
That's actually kind of cute...in an unexpected way.
Though he's still kind of a dick when you get down to it, even someone like him has a softer side.'
He smiles, relaxing a little bit - his minor tension and antagonism fading away as he takes his drink.]
...Thank you.
no subject
...the worst part about it is in this instance? Battler wasn't even wrong.
Not that Gilgamesh would admit it. ]
Yes, well. Do not believe I simply do this out of the good of my heart or some other nonsense. Remember that I've set this up to remind you that you could do better. Nothing more, nothing less.
[ ...... ]
Now I'll leave you to it.
[ And he'll head right off. ]
