the truth is, everyone wishes to be saved.

The execution has come and passed with the death of two more Agents. However time moves on without cease and so must the living. There are no celebrations, only the silence that grows heavier and heavier with every day and the feeling that something is pleased with what it has done.
There are two more days before the new week arrives: what will you do?

"Thank you.
So, name what it is. Something for yourself or I'll make something for someone else. Or whatever you want.
Or if you can't think of anything, call it a 'favor to be named later' and we'll talk about something else."]

[Put him in a little bowtie Rosa, do it]

"If that's what you like. Any preferences? Color? Material? Bells and whistles, or just a bell?"]

...Then a moment later her hand is holding: this. Made to fit his size.
She holds it out for inspection.]

Oh! It's so shiny!

"It's my first time designing a cat collar... You're welcome."]

[Then her face becomes serious. She writes, and takes her time:
"We have to make sure what happened in that trial never happens again."]

I mean, the ideal would be 'no one dies after this' but...

"Yes... I won't mince words. I'm trying to 'play nice' with Dazai-san now. I'm hoping that will work out well. We've argued and he's gone after me, but he does good investigation work. I hope too he's recognized sometimes it's necessary to be aggressive with the questioning. I don't like having to put forth questions like: 'Why should you live?' but that's the situation we're in.
But beyond that, the ghosts are going to do more. A lot more. I've already got ideas, but I don't want to write or say them out loud for fear of them being heard and used.
So, I'm 'talking' to you specifically for two reasons.
One is I think we all need to collectively agree that regardless of whatever morsel is dangled in front of us, we have to vote for the guilty. I knew Zabuza as much as I could know him over the past few weeks. I really do think he would've kept that promise... but in the end, I still voted for him. And I wasn't tempted for otherwise.
Two... I'm imagining, of all of us, you might be in the most danger, personally."]

As for the second... do you mean because I'm a cat?
no subject
"No, because you keep examining people's weapons and other things.
Let's say, if someone envisioned to become a murderer... and they had no 'magic', so they would have to kill through something like a weapon. Well, then what's the obstacle? That sniffing cat. You see? It's straightforward.
...I'm thinking we may be entering a phase where people are going to die because of their talents. Either that, or the reward. The reward can be resolved through collective effort. You..."
A long pause. A very long pause.
"...Be careful?"]
no subject
[He glances away, distressed]
Still, I'm not going to stop- I can't fight and I'm too small to help with a lot of things. My powers are almost completely blocked by this place... so if I can help by doing this, then I have to. Still... I'll be careful.

[She scratches out another message:
"I do have one idea. You may not like it, you don't have to use it, but it is a idea.
...Fake an injury to your nose before the next murder."]
no subject
[It would protect him but...]
no subject
"Why wouldn't I be? If it works... it works."]
no subject
no subject
"You don't need to conceal it at the trial, just for the murder night. If there's some clue you need to reveal, you can come clean then.
If people think you're a lying liar who lies, well, you're still a living lying liar who lies who's still alive."]
