the truth is, everyone wishes to be saved.

The execution has come and passed with the death of two more Agents. However time moves on without cease and so must the living. There are no celebrations, only the silence that grows heavier and heavier with every day and the feeling that something is pleased with what it has done.
There are two more days before the new week arrives: what will you do?

Anyway, yeah, moving on. ]
The kind of thing a respectable guy like you shouldn't be caught reading. Here, I'll do you a solid. Hand it over and we can say you're confiscating it from me.

Also this offer seems suspicious??]
And what exactly would that accomplish?
no subject
Um, wow? In what way? ]
This way you don't have to lie and you get to carry the book around. It's a pretty sweet deal, if you ask me.
no subject
clearly crow means to steal it from him!! or something, i don't know where i was going with this, actually]
I'm not lying about anything. Besides, I was just gonna put it back in the shelf. You can have it if you want, though.
no subject
honestly he does so like, fair instincts? also ]
Oh? 'Kay, then I'll just help myself to it.
[ yoink!!! assuming date isn't fast enough to stop him, he's gonna turn around and flip through it to at the speed of a skimreader ]

truly his good old detective's intuition at work. nailed it. but also, while Date looks annoyed by Crow's swipe and instinctively pulls away, he doesn't manage to keep his grip on it.]
...You know, you could've just asked.

Truly, truly not his kink. As per the dice roll, after a couple of pages it becomes real obvious what kind of book this is. It tries to be subtle but, honestly. It's as subtle as a hammer. And before he makes it a quarter of the way through, he pushes the book closed with both palms. ]
I could've, but, honestly. I think I might've spared you from a terrible fate here. A book like this might too much for even Dorothee to handle.
no subject
But wow, covers sure do lie huh!! Or maybe he was just browsing covers with m/m anyways for the hell of it, who knows. Either way, he doesn't get what the Dorothee reference means so have a confused look, Crow.]
Then it's a good thing I wasn't planning on reading it. [A beat.] And who's Dorothee?
no subject
Maybe the cover was m/m but they were dressed as ladies specifically to deceive Date!! Or something. ]
A girl I used to talk to. You know, back before everything happened. [ As he muses on that, he places the book on the shelf and nudges it into place with his finger. Weird title. Anyway, with his hands now free, he casually puts a hand on his hip. ] You could call this a passion of hers. Reading it, writing it, she could never get enough of either.
no subject
Wow! These books are the worst then, this is truly false advertising. They should burn them.]
Sounds like you two were close. ...Don't tell me she asked you to look over her works, though.
