[ For all his bullshit last week about not executing anyone innocent, Saphir's mixed feelings this time around are much more from disappointment that they aren't getting to test how the house treats successful killings than about the fact that an innocent person is dead.

To be clear, he definitely isn't happy about that either; he hadn't had any problems with Rin and hadn't gotten satisfaction out of voting for her. But she'd also volunteered for death multiple times, so how would it have been any better to vote for someone who absolutely didn't want to die? Besides that, with her higher miasma concentration, she was probably going to be more of a liability than the others anyway.

...It would have been nice if it had been less gruesome and painful, though.

Anyway.

On Saturday, he'll be back in room 6 for the rest of the night, reading one of the books he'd taken from the library before it had its shit wrecked. He's sitting sideways on his bed with his back against the wall, facing Zabuza's empty bunk, and having a harder time focusing on this book than he should be.

On Sunday, he'll be going around the halls with his notebook to make a better sketch of the week's rooms than what he had before, so they can try to line the maps up more accurately going forward and get a better feel for exactly where the center of the web really is. (There is also a terrible drawing of what appears to be a fat velociraptor on the previous page, if you're looking that hard.) ]

[A hand tapped him on the shoulder in the middle of the halls.]

[ DEFINITELY JUMPS AT THAT... and then exhales and gives a slight nod. (He knows you can't talk, but don't just tap people on the back in a murder ghost house!!) ]

[She's still sleeping in Ky's bunk, except when she isn't because the house gets particular about who sleeps where.

There, she can finally start writing:

"Well... that was an adventure yesterday, wasn't it?"]

That's one way of putting it.

[She nods. Then writes again:

"If that sort of trial happens again, we're fucked."]

That is a distinct possibility, yes.

At the very least, only one person actually attempted to act on the motive they gave us, so maybe these multiple death situations will be a rarity.

Ango will come across Saphir while he's sketching out the rooms, because Ango is busy moving food from the pantry to the kitchen. Gotta keep the food where they can reach it, even if the food is gross.]

Attempting to, yes. [ sigh ] In retrospect, I should have done this before half the rooms were destroyed.

If our assumptions about the shape are correct, there should still be a section in the far northeastern part of the house that we haven't seen at all yet.

Indeed. Perhaps that is what we will see next week. And maybe once we have all the sections filled in, it will point to somewhere we can go to get out of here.

I expect it will point us to the center of all of this, which may very well be the opposite of an exit. But at least if it's working this hard to keep us from pinpointing it, there seems like a good chance of it being a weak point.

That seems a bit much to hope for, but it may be possible? Honestly, I don't have a good enough understanding of what this house even is to make an informed guess. Like, where does the building end and the miasma begin?

[In the midst of all the moving around that everyone is likely doing in preparation for a room shift next week, it's no wonder that the halls would be busy. With that said, Date himself isn't carrying around anything when he runs into Saphir during his sketching adventures, which he will raise an eyebrow at.]

...Thinking about Thursday? [Agent T sure wasn't subtle, and a bunch of dead people already means the miasma would know about the ghost message, but hey. Maybe they can pretend they're being covert.]

[ ...Yeah, there probably isn't much point in trying to hide what they're doing there, but he'll make an attempt. Just... not much of one. ]

I wanted to have a clearer reference for next week. And I thought this area [ gestures toward the section of the hall that looked closest to the center of the "web" ] might warrant a bit more investigation.
