the truth is, everyone wishes to be saved.

The execution has come and passed with the death of two more Agents. However time moves on without cease and so must the living. There are no celebrations, only the silence that grows heavier and heavier with every day and the feeling that something is pleased with what it has done.
There are two more days before the new week arrives: what will you do?

To be clear, he definitely isn't happy about that either; he hadn't had any problems with Rin and hadn't gotten satisfaction out of voting for her. But she'd also volunteered for death multiple times, so how would it have been any better to vote for someone who absolutely didn't want to die? Besides that, with her higher miasma concentration, she was probably going to be more of a liability than the others anyway.
...It would have been nice if it had been less gruesome and painful, though.
Anyway.
On Saturday, he'll be back in room 6 for the rest of the night, reading one of the books he'd taken from the library before it had its shit wrecked. He's sitting sideways on his bed with his back against the wall, facing Zabuza's empty bunk, and having a harder time focusing on this book than he should be.
On Sunday, he'll be going around the halls with his notebook to make a better sketch of the week's rooms than what he had before, so they can try to line the maps up more accurately going forward and get a better feel for exactly where the center of the web really is. (There is also a terrible drawing of what appears to be a fat velociraptor on the previous page, if you're looking that hard.) ]

"Meeting?"]

That's fine.

There, she can finally start writing:
"Well... that was an adventure yesterday, wasn't it?"]

"If that sort of trial happens again, we're fucked."]

[ and you are REALLY not doing yourself any favors with that whole threatening gun act... ]
At the very least, only one person actually attempted to act on the motive they gave us, so maybe these multiple death situations will be a rarity.

Ango will come across Saphir while he's sketching out the rooms, because Ango is busy moving food from the pantry to the kitchen. Gotta keep the food where they can reach it, even if the food is gross.]
Ah? making a better map?

[Because he's pretty sure there will be new rooms next week too.]
...it still looks incomplete. Like we're missing a piece of the puzzle.

[ and what they've learned is that this shit sucks ]
If our assumptions about the shape are correct, there should still be a section in the far northeastern part of the house that we haven't seen at all yet.

...Thinking about Thursday? [Agent T sure wasn't subtle, and a bunch of dead people already means the miasma would know about the ghost message, but hey. Maybe they can pretend they're being covert.]
no subject
[ ...Yeah, there probably isn't much point in trying to hide what they're doing there, but he'll make an attempt. Just... not much of one. ]
I wanted to have a clearer reference for next week. And I thought this area [ gestures toward the section of the hall that looked closest to the center of the "web" ] might warrant a bit more investigation.
[ you know what he means!! ]

...It can't hurt. And at least we haven't had any nasty run-ins in the hallways yet. [Which hopefully won't change, but if the house is onto them, then who knows.]
Looking for anything specific?
no subject
Not really. Just, you know, checking for any seams or hidden openings or anything.
[ It would be great if he was those people with a finely-tuned magic sensing ability or something, but he's not, so that's that. ]
Purely out of curiosity!!
no subject
...You don't have to shout about it. Do you want them to hear?
no subject
I was only loud about the curiosity part, which was intentionally inconspicuously phrased!!
no subject
Yeah, but they could've been minding their own business before hearing that. If someone's being loud, they'll think that something happened.
