TRIAL

The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....glory? It's hard to tell.

The doors close, and he speaks up, this time reclining on one of the couches in the room.

"You know the drill - Since one of you have died during the game, it's your responsibility to try and vote someone out. You have six hours to talk about it, but then-"

He taps on a box on the coffee table in front of him, labeled 'VOTES'.

"-you'll have to put in your vote so someone can be punished. You all saw what happens when you refuse to play, right?"

He leans back, placing his hands behind his head.

"So get to it."

As he says that, music begins to play in the room...

There's the third one we know nothing about, right? Not even a name.

Yeah.

I hate that we don't even know names. At least a name of a monster would be nice.

Think we could ask the Captain for names?

We can sure as hell try.

[an UNKNOWN ENEMY is the most terrifying enemy]

Because just knowing the "Jorogumo" exists tells us something.

Yeah.

[ ain't that a fucking mood, Akira ] I honestly wonder if all the monsters are youkai or if we're gonna be all over the place, just like how this place is all over the place.

[purrtagonist]

The Jorogumo is a youkai. There's a Nue here too, right. . .?

[dereban]

There is. That's where the Apprentice got some of his injuries from, anyway.

[purrtagonist]

[hmmmm]

Could the Nue be the final monsters about which we know nothing?

[dereban]

I don't think so.

[purrtagonist]

[he nods]

I don't really think that, either. I just wanted to know if anyone else thought it a possibility.

[messianic]

Nue and jorogumo both being youkai would make me think so, even if the nue wasn't one of the monsters, but...

[A very, very rueful look.]

That'd be too easy, right? They're probably not.

[dereban]

It would be, since a lot of us are Japanese, actually?

[messianic]

Yeah... especially considering we're not in Japan, it'd be odd for all of the monsters to be youkai.

[dereban]

Yeah, but the hat that Kurusu saw on the white blood cell person was in Japanese too, so.

[ SHRUG!!!!! She doesn't know! ]

[messianic]

... [sighs]

The setting shouldn't be so complicated. It's not fair.

[KIND OF PETULANT, THERE, MINATO.]

Yeah, it's like we're in three fucking countries at once. Canada, America and Japan? Where are we?!

Except that's not important right now, I guess.
