RECORDING 7: THE THIRD WEEK.

A third week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. The final week completely covered by everyone's rations, though with proper meting out, you'll be able to make it stretch until after week 4. It seems as if everyone will have to go without a few meals here and there..
To make things worse, when you wake up - it's clear the Miasma has gotten thicker. Everyone, save those still protected either by their powers or items they brought with them, is now even more deeply affected by the curse. Arguments will be flaring up more, along with negative thoughts and feelings...and even more worrying Is that any magic that touches the house itself will corrode over time. If a barrier is put in place and touches the floor, walls, or ceiling, in half a day it will be completely consumed by the miasma and fizzle out. Spells or seals will also corrode, and even personal healing abilities have been halved.
The Temperature has dropped, just a bit - down to the mid to low 60's. Strange, isn't it? As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.
25 of your number still remain.
...What new horrors await you this week?

Humans always have odd tastes, from what I’ve seen. Others have called it charming.
[It’s not a word he would probably call them, though. He nods towards the single layer of cans, assuming Date isn’t looking at any other particular cans that catch his interest.]
I can defend, if you move them.

[But alright, about the cans: are there any small gaps between them? Also, how is the dust situation looking on that shelf; does it look like any of the cans or anything placed on the shelf may have been moved? Is there anything underneath that specific row on the shelves, like any kind of mechanism that may be connected to a trap or a hidden door, etc?]
Might be best to take this slow.

There are small gaps between them and he may catch sight of something red back there.
There isn't any mechanism under the shelf or anything that looks like a trap or hidden door ]

1. Can the red thing be seen behind gaps of the cans all along the shelf or just behind a specific group of cans?
2. Can he get an idea of what the red thing is just by looking between the gaps or would he need to pull the cans out to see?
3. Where on the shelf is this specific row of cans located? waist level in the middle of the shelf? at their ankles and to the far right? etc.
4. Which wall of this pizza shaped room is this shelf against? the one across from the door? one of the others?]

[Gin does move back though, towards the door and Date when Date says to take caution. He doesn't turn his back towards the shelves, only Date, though, and keeps a watch in case anything has been triggered while he leaves.]
Do you have an idea then? [He moves his hands just enough from his sleeves so that Shinsou's handle is visible.] I can offer Shinsou, but if you have something else...?

[Even though he told Gin to be careful, he honestly just wants to grab at the cans to get this done with, but. He also doesn't want to be blown up or killed by whatever this is, so he'll back off for now.]
I'm... thinking of something. We'll need to get something else first, though. Let's go.
[And on their quest outside the pantry, he'll grab like a whole roll of string (and scissors ig) for this because this is what their life is now. So here is the plan: Date is going to basically make a lasso-like loop out of the string that he's going to put over the cans, by utilizing the small gaps between them. He will do this as carefully as possible so as to not disturb any of the cans or make them shift.
Furthermore, he will only be doing this with the cans beside the ones directly in front of the red-and-white object.
Are we okay so far or does something go horribly wrong in between here?]

When they do eventually move the cans, they will see it's a plastic ball. They are looking at it from an angle, so they may see there's something like a hinge on the back of it. ]

[The string lasso was set, and Gin takes his apparently new role as Secondary Shield Jockey serious enough to erect Kyōmon in the entranceway before Date pulls the lasso.
As the cans shift, Gin keeps Shinsou at hand, just in case anything goes haywire.]

...What the hell is this thing?
[Okay, what will he see inside if he x-rays it? Any signs of a trap or anything inside?]
no subject
There doesn't seem to be any traps though so it's safe to grab. As for what Date sees when he x-rays it, he'll see a note and [redacted] ]

[Especially not with all that [redacted] going on in there.
...]
Feel like giving it a little push?
[With Shinsou, he means.]

[Weird food and labels mean nothing to him, who comes from a land without cans. As he jokes about that though, he does lift Shinsou and aim. A calm "Shoot to Kill" later, and the sword is just long enough to nudge it off the shelf with all the cans they knocked down already.
As it falls, Shinsou retracts just enough to not be a hindrance if anything happens.]
warning for bugs

...Looks like it is for storing things in.

[Ugh. It's not like he has a phobia of insects or anything, but seeing them all pop out of the ball like that makes him glad they didn't open it with their hands. If only Aiba was here to appreciate them... Either way, it's hard to miss how they're crawling towards them, although if they're like regular earwigs, he'll probably just kick some of the closer ones away using the toes of his boots.]
Anyway, let's just retrieve the ball and whatever else is in there and get out of here.

[He takes the shield down long enough to hop into the pantry before putting it back up. Gin strolls over to grab the ball and note, nudging any bugs farther away so he can get back to the door. Shield down, hop, shield up, and he's back! The bugs thankfully now trapped in the pantry with the assorted cans.
Gin skims the note before handing both items over to Date.]
