nobody's in the mood for recording 6.9: the post-trial garden tea "party"

- The flowers that bloomed at the end of the trial are ones that only seem to prove, continuously, that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Of course, it's only natural that many of the people are full of mixed emotions - grief? sadness? anger? frustration? maybe something else completely different?
But it's there, along with the end of the week.
Miasma still continues to be around, of course - but make use of the fact that this might be the last time it'll be at a low level one before it shoots up again.
Well.
Life continues as usual, disregarding any feelings that any of the house's occupants might be feeling.
So what are you doing these next two days?

[She almost let herself get distracted because having an excuse to touch his hand was... nice, but she had more time for that later.]

[ ...of course. Such a simple plan hadn't occurred to him, how embarrassing. And he didn't necessarily have an indicator like Hikage for anyone to know he was using it... ]
2/2
There were a lot of variables to consider.
But it was something to think of...even if it may be just knowing when to go and try to use it. ]
...Let me see your hand.

[There's a slight hesitation and the unmistakeable tinge of a blush on her features as he asks for her hand. Mostly because there's a part of Rosa that never stopped being a romantic young girl...a young girl who wanted so desperately to be romanced.
But she knows he just wants to 'write' his reply, and it'll probably be something like "No, it doesn't work that way, you silly twit." So, she prepares herself for the disappointment and lets him see it.]
...Go slow.

"Your plan may be possible, and though I am a great and powerful king capable of many things, it remains a question of whether this would be a skill I could use in such a fashion."
Actually, he had not too many doubts it was less of a question, but one thing at a time.
"There are, of course, quite a few things we must consider:
First, the fact that the miasma would need to allow us physical access to the room." ]
Following along well enough so far?
no subject
...Um...
Something... 'maybe'?
...I'm sorry, King, it's not a skill I normally use.
no subject
...Hmph. Very well, I will attempt to go slower this time.
Pay close attention.
[ He will attempt to write another message, without his ego (alas) getting in the way...and he'll also make sure to do it more firmly.
"There are some things we must consider regarding your plan:
First, how the miasma would need to allow us physical access to the room at all."]
no subject
...Okay. I think I got it this time. But... um.
[She'll take his hand and scribble back:
"We sure it's a physical rooom?? What about disease?"]
no subject
[ He'll pause, reading her message.
"In this case, yes. Remember, the Agent stated the source comes from one room. So that will be our target's location."
So at the very least, they had confirmation on that. ]
no subject
["So, WhAt's inside THAT room?"]
no subject
[ And of course the vessel all but hinted that they killed the Agent for telling them in the first place. ]
As you can imagine, this is one of the reasons why we'll need to be careful of whatever we plan on executing.
no subject
...Are we sure? That we need to be so... 'careful', that is.
no subject
Don't be foolish.
This is a situation where we would need to tread lightly. We don't even know where it's located just yet.
In a place like this, where we still lack crucial information, and we're at a disadvantage, lack of caution would result in a idiotic death.

[She frowns, eyes darting about.]
If I were a ghost... and I was convinced I was all-powerful and nothing could stop me... I would think I'd lord that power over everyone. Let them try whatever they want. No weapon could harm me. No plan could outsmart me. I'm invincible. Every thing and every one is a pawn. Literally, as we've seen with the robot.
[She bit her lip, before continuing.]
But, I mean... if I knew I had some weakness, I'd just stomp on anyone who dared got close to it right away.
no subject
...Or that is what you would say now.
[ He'll let his hands fall to his sides, looking at her intently as he extended his hand, though not to her. ]
If you felt the kind of power running through you that could crush whatever dared to get in your way, maybe you'd think differently.
'Why finish it now'? Could come the thought, as if unbidden. 'Why kill them when you could derive some joy out of it first'? And if your enemies learn a weakness, you could think...'But how would they even be able to defeat me?' Maybe you'd kill one of them arbitrarily, possibly the one who even figured out the weakness or let it slip to others who could actually do anything about it. But you'd leave the rest alone because it would be too much fun to end it right then and there.
[ Or perhaps those thoughts wouldn't be exactly that would be going through that "all powerful person". It could be as simple as resting when you think you've the ultimate prize in the world and a small thing, like a wretched snake slithers to take it all.
At the thought, he closed the hand tight into a fist before letting it fall back to his side. ]
I speak of hubris and arrogance, which is something easily gained by those who suddenly come into power or always have been. Not to mention the simple fact that it suits the creature's plan to drive us to despair. With a being like this, killing us all would be a hindrance to it right now.
no subject
Then... you think we might be special? That is, we can't be replaced? Or... just the simple, 'why break a toy you're not done with,' mentality?
no subject
...I believe we're hardly anyone special to this insolent creature. It's all but implied as much because it seems all but betrothed to the sound of its voice.
[ It's enough to be pretty much the height of annoyance. ]
It'd be more like that phrase you just made about not being done with a broken toy. You barely get anything out of playing with it if you just break it straight from the beginning.
no subject
...Anyway. One more.
[She took his hand again:
"That's my theory.
No one has any one power, plan, or combination thereof that can get us out of this.
The house controls everything. The house might not even be in control of the miasma.
Therefore, only two plans:
1: make the house want to release us.
2: make something that the house has given power to and 'plays by its own rules' release us."]
...
[Then there came that little blush again.]
