The flowers that bloomed at the end of the trial are ones that only seem to prove, continuously, that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Of course, it's only natural that many of the people are full of mixed emotions - grief? sadness? anger? frustration? maybe something else completely different?

But it's there, along with the end of the week.

Miasma still continues to be around, of course - but make use of the fact that this might be the last time it'll be at a low level one before it shoots up again.


Well.

Life continues as usual, disregarding any feelings that any of the house's occupants might be feeling.

Does it have to do with what happened to his friend?

Nothing too specific. He was explaining why he was so set on trying to help out and do the right thing.

Hilariously, WWX is the first to get any of this from Ango. Because Ango normally keeps his heart closely guarded.]

Several years ago, there were three of us: myself, Dazai-kun, and our third friend, Odasaku. We were drinking buddies, we met up at a bar sometimes after work and relaxed together. It was...nice. Peaceful.

That friend is the friend Dazai-kun would have told you about. And that friend is also the reason I watch over Dazai-kun now.

[ He can tell this is getting to difficult territory. Moving over to hop up on a counter top and sit there. ]

Are you near or far sighted?

[ Since... you know glasses. ]

You look after him out of guilt then?

Nearsighted.

[Even so, it's not too hard for him to walk over to stand near WWX. He doesn't want to be too far away while blinded like this.]

[ He shuffles over so he's in front of him. Leaning in to grab his tie to "fix" it. ]

I'm not going to ask what happened. But if you want to spill it all out, I don't mind pretending to be a rock or a wall or something.

[ He'll listen. ]

Though I will admit, it feels a little bit like cheating talking to you about it.

[You can't adjust a tie that's already perfect, but go ahead and try. Ango glances down at WWX's hands but doesn't try to pull away.]

It's not really my story to tell. If Dazai wants to share it, he can. But I don't want to talk about his trauma like that.

[Nevermind that the whole incident traumatized Ango himself too.]

That said, I can give a little context to it all. Our world isn't exactly nice to people like us. It's hard for an ability-user to get a job, and many are looked down upon. Dazai and Odasaku, they were my friends. My real friends. I haven't made any that affected me quite as much as they have, and I miss the camaraderie we all shared. But I'm also not so foolish as to think that we can go back to those bygone days. That place exists only in my memories now.

It's your trauma, too. They were both your friends, right?

It might not be able to go back to how it was, but you can always try something new. I'm not going to ask any more about it, but I do think you should also try prioritize yourself a little more.
