RECORDING 4: THE SECOND WEEK

A second week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. With first blood - and oil - spilled, it now seems as if it'll only be a matter of time before the worse eventually happens once more. Thankfully, it seems as if the Miasma is content to remain at the same levels it did before, so arguments are unlikely to break out, though tensions are surely high after everything that's already occurred.

Speaking of which, the temperature remains a consistent comfortable early to mid 70's in the house. It appears at least that you'll be here in comfort..? Though it appears that the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.

Yet, something feels...wrong. The house feels as if it is laughing at you, when you awake...

Something like that. I can hear and see what happens to my body when I collapse. I'm not dead, but I'm not really conscious either. So if you see me like that, as long as I don't look hurt, you don't have to be afraid.

[There's a pause, before he strokes Sissel's fur and smiles.]

[The smile gets...just a touch sad.

You were kind to me first, Battler. And... it's not everything, no. But it's not a lie. The world is full of strange and wonderful things- I'm a cat, so there are things I know a human never could, just like there are things I'll never really understand about humans too.

I know it has to be frustrating, but no matter what happens I'll watch over you, okay?
