RECORDING 4: THE SECOND WEEK

A second week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. With first blood - and oil - spilled, it now seems as if it'll only be a matter of time before the worse eventually happens once more. Thankfully, it seems as if the Miasma is content to remain at the same levels it did before, so arguments are unlikely to break out, though tensions are surely high after everything that's already occurred.

Speaking of which, the temperature remains a consistent comfortable early to mid 70's in the house. It appears at least that you'll be here in comfort..? Though it appears that the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.

Yet, something feels...wrong. The house feels as if it is laughing at you, when you awake...

...What new horrors await you this week?

It would be smart if they want to keep being fed. I suppose we should figure out a way to prevent it from sweeping things under a rug, huh?

I think that depends on what it's sweeping under the rug to begin with.

It also hasn't taken care of those outside of the house either.

I doubt it. You heard what they said at the meeting, right? If it can make us see something different from the inside, maybe it's doing the same on the outside?

People could be continuing their lives as usual, not realizing they're passing by so many bodies...

Unfortunately, that's hardly anything new from what I've seen.

[ Between SCP and his own world... people will go about normally as long as they are ignorant ]

It does. Especially with this city being as large as it is. [ Rubbing his chin for a moment as he looks at the tubs. ]

I do plan on making sure it can't hurt anyone after us though.

[ Putting his finger over his lips before he gestures for her to come closer. ]

[ Leaning in to whisper something to her.

This is some comical leaning cause he's like a foot taller? ]

[Her eyes widen a fraction before she nods and steps back.]

...I see.

[That's all she feels she can say given their current circumstances, but there's a tremor of worry in her voice.]

[ He sees that worry, but he'll just grin and wave his hand ]

It'll be fine. I just have to figure out how.

[Her head dips down. And then, after another moment:]

If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.

I'll be sure to let you know.

[ Or maybe he doesn't but look his memory is a butt sometimes. ]

In the meantime, we should figure out how to make this better for people.
