After everything, the house seems almost too still and too mundane. At least as long as the doors to that room remain closed. One by one those covered in what was once their teammate are lead to the showers or change in silence. There is no warm meal waiting for them. No words of encouragement.

[ It feels a little hollow compared to his usual self-absorbed proclamations, though. He'd thought this would be his chance to shine and prove his value, but he'd choked once the whole bomb thing happened, and he lost the core, and he's still stuck thinking about the fact that he probably could have prevented this -- at least part of it.
...Besides all of that, with Olympia out of the picture now, there probably aren't going to be any other cases where he'll be needed to this same extent, with Romani and the magic healers and everyone and their dog with a first aid kit available. How much incentive is anyone really going to have to protect him after this? ]
