Opinions without 3.1415 are just Onions (Week1 post trial)
After everything, the house seems almost too still and too mundane. At least as long as the doors to that room remain closed. One by one those covered in what was once their teammate are lead to the showers or change in silence. There is no warm meal waiting for them. No words of encouragement.
Life goes on, regardless.
Life goes on, regardless.
[how to recover from trauma, the Rosa way]
[Step one consisted of being set in the shower with her clothes still on and... crying, as the water came down. And down, and down, and down...
Eventually the fact the hot water ran out forced Rosa to stop sobbing and start scrubbing. The annoyance spurned haste as she tried to get it all off down to her fingernails.
Her power meant she could walk out of the bathroom with a new clean outfit, and looking and smelling fresh as a daisy, but the circles around her eyes and the exhaustion she carried herself with made it clear she was not having a good time.]
Bedroom 5
[Step two consisted of stumbling to bed, and realizing too late that she was in one of the top bunks...]
...Ky, I'm borrowing your bunk.
[Her voice was a wheeze as she just let herself flop into his bed.]
Wildcard!
[Step four consisted of getting a little more put together and chancing to walk out of the room, not even with a plan, but just to see who was still around.]
Who wants to trade? I'll offer a fresh outfit for any serious offer.
Kitchen
[Step five was to put food in her empty gut, or something else... she really wished she could find something else. She made a halfhearted look for something with alcohol, knowing she'd looked through the shelves already. Maybe the ghosts would be kind?
...Though with her throat feeling raw, she wasn't in the best shape for it. Despite that, it was her coping mechanism and she needed something.]
[Room 5]
Take as long as you need.
no subject
[It was a genuine flop, too. Right onto her face, but she needed to just rest her eyes...
wait.]
...Did you check the asshole's bunk?
[she said without turning, so her voice might've been muffled a bit.]

[haha... ha?]

I am honestly a little surprised no one has attempted to make their own already.

[Didn't it take weeks? Rosa didn't know for sure. At any rate, she was much too impatient. She wanted to get drunk now. Preferably with the kind of spirit she preferred, not some hooch made from bread and whatever rotting fruit they left in a tub.]
...
[The wistful pining came to an end as the tears started fresh and she started crying.]
I'm never going to see my daughter again...

Kitchen;
[ Yet here he was. The woman's struggles had been memorable for how terrible she had reacted, even if he was sure that she wasn't the only one. ]
Though, there seemed to be a good supply of tea or coffee remaining.
no subject
[She didn't have the patience to grind up coffee beans, she'll just reach for the tea.]
And how are you, Great King?
[Maybe surprising for their situation, she wasn't saying it to be sarcastic.]
no subject
Well enough. A fool's show and a specter's antics would be the last thing that would shake my conviction.
[ As a King who has seen many wars, who has seen visions of things that would destroy a lesser person...this was nothing.
However, to someone normal, he knew it would be nothing short of a nightmare. ]
In comparison, I'd considered the possibility you'd have gone to bed after cleaning up following the carnage, but I suppose you heading into here wasn't too surprising.

[She'll yawn though.]
That idiot... he actually had people saying "It's too obvious it's him, therefore it can't possibly be him," before he went and pulled what he did.

...That mongrel must've known that he'd have been found out eventually. Though, seeing as he didn't revive as he said he would, as expected his plans were all but half-baked.
As detailed by himself, he rushed right through it all in desperation; a pitiful sight if he hadn't tried to kill the rest of us in the process. But perhaps our own predicament back then could serve as a warning of sorts.

[...a long sigh.]
Yes... we really owe a debt to him. ...The man who lost his arm, I mean.

Somehow, I doubt a guy like that will mind anyone stealing their bed out from under them.

[ He doesn't sound very apologetic or concerned about his mistake, regardless of what he just said. ] Anyway, why are you borrowing it?

Just try and be careful in the morning, 'kay? Swapping won't do much good if you forget where you are in the morning and topple off anyway.
[ He gives her a brief wave and heads out of the room. Later, Rosa. ]

Where are you going?

Wildcard/Room 5?!
Rosa? Are you in there?
no subject
Oh... Date.
[Genuine smile for him.]
no subject
Hey. You look like you're doing a little better now. I'm glad.
no subject
[Unfortunately, literal tea, and not a euphemism.]
Do you have my things? I think I may need them.
no subject
[But alas. Maybe they'll get other kinds of 'tea' in later weeks... although not this coming one, apparently. There's a nod at her question though, and he holds out the small collection of items in his hands.]
Here. Why'd you need me to hold onto them, by the way? I doubt anyone would have just picked them up and ran off with them.

[Genuine surprise at his statement.]
