After everything, the house seems almost too still and too mundane. At least as long as the doors to that room remain closed. One by one those covered in what was once their teammate are lead to the showers or change in silence. There is no warm meal waiting for them. No words of encouragement.

Life goes on, regardless.

Sunday/laundry hell

Hah... If there's one thing that guy was good at, it was at making everyone as dirty as he was all the time.

[At this point the laundry room probably smells to high heaven of at least blood and oil and god knows what else. There's a wrinkle of his nose before he waves a hand: a staid golden 風 gets them at least some proper ventilation going because who knows what the hell is going on with the HVAC in this old dump. This may be helpful for drying, too, by the by. Then he just sort of. Dumps his stuff in a bucket of water and stares at it.

[Emil enters the ballroom, intending to pay respects -- and would leave later, having gotten cold feet because it's hard for someone as softhearted as him, he's not used to grieving over people -- but he does hear the flute. He hangs out in the entrance of the ballroom, listening.

Only when the flute stops he goes up to the balcony, although he still doesn't enter to it, instead speaking from the stairs]

Ah. That's quite the interesting sword you've got there -- I was aware you and Minamimoto and the cat had related abilities, but I must have overlooked the swordsman part a little too much?

[Truth be told, it's a little less about overlooking and a little more, perhaps, about being faintly surprised that Gin had been the first one to move. But maybe, given what his sword can apparently do, it's not so surprising.

Subete is here without any food or other excuse, so he probably just popped in because he saw the sword maintenance going on. The intrigued way he's looking at it is partly impressed and partly what must be a collector's curiosity.]
