RECORDING 2: THE FIRST MURDER

An entire week has passed, and nothing has happened. For a brief glimmer of time, it seemed like they wouldn't succumb. That they would be able to face down the Vessel, the Curse, and come out stronger on the other side.
....But when they wake up today, it's easy to feel the wrongness in the air. The sense of satisfaction from something lurking deep inside, pleased that it was fed...and pleased that finally, the killing had started.
As you all rise and look towards a new day, the faint traces of Miasma lap at your heels...
...And around whatever corpse now lingers in the hallways...
((OOC: 2 people max under a heading, please! Just to keep things easy on the mods.))

[like what the fuck, don't mess with the evidence like that???]

It was really shittily propped up, I think.

And I assume you can't revive her because she's a robot?
[not that she understands or comprehends robots]

[it's very brief, but the word 'ate her' makes her flinch for a second before her expression turns into something serious]
We don't want to make any assumptions just yet.
[she glances at the... 'body'?
what's left of it, anyway]
Another thing is that it might be because not all her body parts are there, too. I don't know how robots tick, you'd have to ask someone who's more familiar.

[A sad sigh]

... Well, we'll figure something out.

What the hell were you doing?!

[He didn't mean to knock her over and... well, the realization he can't save her is sinking in]

[ takes out core..... you can do your thing without making him let go of it, right? he doesn't want to hand this to someone who doesn't have thumbs and just knocked over a scorpion robot corpse. roboscorpse. ]

[and he goes limp again as he jumps up Saphir's clothing to reach the robocore to see if it contains a soul-core]

[He’s wandered in at some point during the whole shebang and probably managed to not walk directly into the oil AOE of your newly resident pinchybot because he’s no fun like that. Now that it’s keeled over he’ll just crouch over the mess, one eyebrow raised curiously. Hmm...]
What’d you do, trick it out or something? You don’t look big enough to try piloting it.

I was investigating and knocked her over...

[That is apparently a real question?? Like, bemused-slash-amused, excessively philosophical bent, but if they’re getting into the robotic innards might as well go the whole nine yards and dig deeper, right? He examines the chassis a little more closely....... wow, someone really did a number on this damn thing.]
I guess they really messed her up, huh? What a pity, I’ve never seen anything quite like her. Ah, anyone. [still in that bemused voice] The balance of the whole frame is screwed up, too. What were you investigating, anyway?

[What does he even mean ‘even to him’—]
Would it work even with a body like this? Or with any kind of living creature? Or is there some other trick to it?
