RECORDING 2: THE FIRST MURDER

An entire week has passed, and nothing has happened. For a brief glimmer of time, it seemed like they wouldn't succumb. That they would be able to face down the Vessel, the Curse, and come out stronger on the other side.

....But when they wake up today, it's easy to feel the wrongness in the air. The sense of satisfaction from something lurking deep inside, pleased that it was fed...and pleased that finally, the killing had started.

As you all rise and look towards a new day, the faint traces of Miasma lap at your heels...

...And around whatever corpse now lingers in the hallways...

((OOC: 2 people max under a heading, please! Just to keep things easy on the mods.))

[Muttered a little quietly to himself:]

Seems she was right.
oxidegreen: (Watching you.)

Hm?

[She heard Something but not quite what.]
dreamshielder: (listening intently)

[Looking up:]

It isn't important. My last conversation with her was simply ... odd.
oxidegreen: (Watching you.)

[personal profile] oxidegreen 2020-04-18 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Odd in what way?

[She's still curious.]
dreamshielder: (looking down)

Yesterday she told me she did not anticipate outliving her purpose by a significant margin.

[A beat.]

What kind of odd would you call that?

[...Hm.]

Is that... something unique to "robots?"

[She's still hazy on what robots are for tbh.]
dreamshielder: (contemplative)

I'm not sure. She was the first robot I've talked to.

[Certainly one of the most advanced at that.]

A shame. I would have liked to have known her better.

[Nodding.]

We hadn't talked much. I feel like... I've missed out.

[But there's no turning back the clock now. Just another reminder of how limited time can be...]
