RECORDING 2: THE FIRST MURDER

An entire week has passed, and nothing has happened. For a brief glimmer of time, it seemed like they wouldn't succumb. That they would be able to face down the Vessel, the Curse, and come out stronger on the other side.
....But when they wake up today, it's easy to feel the wrongness in the air. The sense of satisfaction from something lurking deep inside, pleased that it was fed...and pleased that finally, the killing had started.
As you all rise and look towards a new day, the faint traces of Miasma lap at your heels...
...And around whatever corpse now lingers in the hallways...
((OOC: 2 people max under a heading, please! Just to keep things easy on the mods.))

There's some kind of sigil the middle of the floor in the ballroom. Getting close to it causes negative emotions. I recommend avoiding the ballroom for now unless you need to look in there for some reason, since it seems like only people with spiritual power can see it.

[hums about this just mulling about it in her head but isn't going to say any theories about it right now]
Thank you, Marona-chan.

I'll make a copy for everyone to look at, but I'm going to add some extra lines to break it apart. I don't know what it is, and I'm not a mage, so I don't want to accidentally create another one.

Unless they were trying to perform a specific thing that does lean into that.
[UUUUUUUUUGH]
[she also realizes that this is going to give a Certain Someone some bad war flashbacks, so even more UUUUUUUUUUUUGH]

Well, I'll bring it up again at the... trial.
[Since apparently that's a thing we're doing.]

It makes me wonder what they were trying to do, but-- I suppose we can discuss it more then.

Probably just the Vessel factoring around again.
