RECORDING 2: THE FIRST WEEK

It's been two days since the doors locked....and only a day since the living room became completely impassable, with something lurking inside of it. Not only that, but due to the actions of those who went to investigate the strange event, Miasma now faintly lingers in the hallways - akin to the tiny clouds that were around camp, floating around aimlessly and clinging to whatever it can. Due to this, everyone is always in contact with it, in one way or another...and the start of curse is now inside nearly all of the Agents, save those lucky few able to either resist or somehow nullify it.
Though the effects are small, they still linger. Unease and negative emotions come quicker, and little fights here and there are much more likely to break out in the course of everyday life in this house.
Speaking of which, the temperature remains a consistent comfortable early to mid 70's in the house. It appears at least that you'll be here in comfort..? And look, you even have more space to use! Everything else seems to work as well, at least for now.
It might be in your best interests to wait, and try and find a way out later.
...Or maybe, that'll just invite disaster...?
Either way - for now...there's no escape.

[She's having fun as well.]
Let's see...
Great King Gilgamesh, how many women in your court have you... [pause, how does she phrase this] known, shall we say?
no subject
[ 'How many', though...? He's lived a good long life, after all, and so...
Well, he's answering anyway, it looked like. ]
I'll have to say that, by now, I've simply lost count. Though it's been awhile, I've hardly any reason to keep track.
no subject
[She nods] I thought so. A man of your stature... I'd think you could have any woman eating from the palm of your hand, if it came to that. Though "it's been awhile?" That's a little unexpected.
Not here
no subject
[ Honestly, though.
She wasn't wrong at all, so that kept him amused. ]
Hardly. Before I was brought to the Foundation, I had been dealing with a considerable threat on three fronts. Naturally, that'd leave hardly time for recreational activities.
no subject
Oh, that sounds terrible. It's hardly fair... only three of them?
[Ohoho]
What about now? You have so much confidence... If I were a man, I'd feel fortunate to have even a sliver of it.
no subject
[ But, that being said... ]
Though having confidence does lead to success, it is being as successful as I am as a King that allows me to keep it in the first place. Right 'now', there's still hardly time to partake in doing anything behind closed doors [ If you know what he meant!! ] but for now participating in a game like this will do.
It seems to have contributed well in raising the spirits of every mongrel here, after all. And our specter seemed hardly interested in that.

[If-you-know-what-she-meant.]
Honestly, it feels a little bit like we're playing shuffleboard on the Titanic at the moment.

Though, he supposed that there was nothing fundamentally wrong with one night stands, and attraction could be simply attraction. Not to mention, he's a powerful man. All the same, there was a time and a place. ]
...Oh? I suppose technically many wouldn't, but I've hardly any interest in partaking in such an activity in a place like this.
[ ... ]
And this 'Titanic' was...?
no subject
Um... the Titanic was a gigantic ship, built to peacefully transport passengers across the ocean. It was so grand and so well made, they said it would never sink. No weather would threaten it. No obstacle would harm it.
--Then it hit an iceberg and sank. The very first voyage.

[ What an interesting analogy to make, or so were his first thoughts upon receiving the explanation from Rosa. He wondered if there was a similar comparison after all.
Though the circumstances were vastly different, the Foundation had presumed that this creature was safe enough to not even be classified as a 'Keter'. Though, they had been proven wrong—however, was it a simply another sign of their foolishness or this time flat out hubris? ]
Perhaps that may be an apt description. Though, I must also confess to having no knowledge of the particular game you've referenced either, I can presume it may elude to the currently precarious nature of our situation.
no subject
[ugh, the tone was becoming too depressing. She mentally kicked herself for that comment now.]
...

The blond man cast a glance towards the others who were growing rowdy, with expressions of cheer, and tension mostly ebbed away by the distraction. ]
Speaking of a game, I believe we were in the middle of playing one ourselves, weren't we? Try not to forget that we're to enjoy ourselves tonight without abandon before we're to resume facing our situation again another day. And of course, subsequently be victorious.
I won't tolerate anything else.
[ Then he'll allow his red eyes to land on her once more. ]
So, how about you take your turn in 'truth or dare'?
no subject
[Back to smiling when she realized she was being watched.]
Let's say... dare.
