RECORDING 2: THE FIRST WEEK

It's been two days since the doors locked....and only a day since the living room became completely impassable, with something lurking inside of it. Not only that, but due to the actions of those who went to investigate the strange event, Miasma now faintly lingers in the hallways - akin to the tiny clouds that were around camp, floating around aimlessly and clinging to whatever it can. Due to this, everyone is always in contact with it, in one way or another...and the start of curse is now inside nearly all of the Agents, save those lucky few able to either resist or somehow nullify it.

Though the effects are small, they still linger. Unease and negative emotions come quicker, and little fights here and there are much more likely to break out in the course of everyday life in this house.

Speaking of which, the temperature remains a consistent comfortable early to mid 70's in the house. It appears at least that you'll be here in comfort..? And look, you even have more space to use! Everything else seems to work as well, at least for now.

It might be in your best interests to wait, and try and find a way out later.

...Or maybe, that'll just invite disaster...?

Either way - for now...there's no escape.

[ Checking out the new rooms, Hikage stops when he sees his roommate. ]

Are you planning on cleaning?

[He pauses. The question has him looking .... maybe a little amused, though it doesn't really last long. The mood's kinda shit and all.]

Why? Is that an offer to help?

[ Maybe he should have thought this through, but good thing he's stubborn. ]

It might be if this place has any real use.

How charitable.

[That's getting a bit of a teasing laugh as Haku tosses a mop over to Hikage. Better think fast????]

Is that what you're calling it? [ He catches the mop well enough, though his surprise is written on his face. ]

[dreamshielder]

At least until you give me a reason to change my mind.

[He's grinning a little at the surprise -- it's just kinda funny, sorry, roomie.]

But I wasn't going to clean. [Please that just sounds tedious. He will, however, be grabbing a second mop and raising it like a staff.] Do you spar at all or do you rely on that gun of yours?

I'll keep that in mind. [ Grumble, grumble. But onto the question because he has to save himself from his tsunness somehow. He steadies his grip on the mop but continues to hold it like the normal mop it is. ]

Not with any melee weapons, no. I know some basic hand to hand from the Foundation and what I assume is my childhood.

You should give it a try. Give yourself more options.

[How grim.]

I don't usually rely on melee weapons myself, so we'll both learn something from this.

[.... which is tragically all the warning Hikage's getting before Haku dashes at him with the mop. On the bright side, he's definitely taking it easy on Hikage and not using his full speed or power, but he's still gonna be in your face in 3...2... 1]

I suppose it's not the worst— [ Well okay guess they're doing this now. Haku is totally succeeding at getting in his face though Hikage doesn't fail completely, managing to raise his mop up in a defensive position. ]

Are you always this impatient!?

[dreamshielder]

Quit complaining.

[It's said with a bit of a laugh. Time to give the mop handle in Hikage's hands a quick whack aside with his own mop to try and get in an opening for a punch.]

If you want to save everyone, you have to prepared for anything.

[ Opportunity granted cause while he'll make an attempt to maintain his posture his unfamiliarity with fighting really shows. ]

No one told me surprise mop attacks were essential principles of combat! [ This is the stupidest sentence made even worse by the fact that he's yelling and probably eating a punch very soon but this is fine. ]

[As funny as that is, Haku's actually staying focused for now and as soon as he gets that opening, he'll form a fist. But right before the punch connects with Hikage's jaw, he stops and laughs.]

Alright. I'm sorry. Let's start again.

[He does, after all, want to help the guy. He'll take a few steps back, but can't exactly resist making one comment.]

If you put as much effort into your stance as you do shouting, you could be unstoppable, Hikage-kun.

[ That was close, but at least Hikage didn't flinch. He does however scowl. ]

I have a lot of practice in one over the other as I've never had to use a mop to corral my teammates before. Thankfully. [ But tch, fine. After a second or two of sulking he attempts to mimic Haku's stance. It's not a bad attempt surprisingly. ]

Are you pouting?

[How surly. How cute. But seeing the improved stance, Haku gives him a nod of approval, then twists the mop in his hands to point the top of the handle at Hikage.]

Well, whatever you're doing it's apparently helping.

Of course not. [ Yeah he totally is, though now there's an added edge of indignation. ]

Then come at me again!

Now whos impatient....

[Hikage is making this entirely too easy, which is honestly exactly the kind of distraction Haku wanted though he won't be saying as much. So instead it is time to chaaaaarge. And after a few rounds of boys attempting to bop each other with mops and some actual pointers along the way.....]

Had enough?

[ The bopping was mostly on Haku's end lbr here, but Hikage did get in a lucky hit now and again. He can apparently copy form just fine but execution is a different story. ]

I wouldn't say that, but I wouldn't object to stopping either. [ Trying his best to hide the fact that he's slightly winded. ]

[He catches that Hikage's winded though, and will put his mop down.]

Training together was nice. Another time, maybe?

....sure. It was a more enjoyable experience than the rough housing Yamato used to force upon me.

This Yamato..... is he a friend of yours?

[kaliedoscopes]

No, teammate if you want to put a label on it but even that might be too generous. We were trapped together in my home world before all of this.

[dreamshielder]

I see.

Do you consider any of your teammates friends?

[kaliedoscopes]

No. [ His gaze narrows slightly because he feels like he knows where this is headed. ]

[dreamshielder]

[The answer surprises him a little, though it only shows briefly on Haku's face.]

You don't fight like one, but ... you certainly sound like a ninja.

Huh? [ Nevermind he was completely wrong! ]
