RECORDING 1: THE FIRST DAY

For those from the future, this is a momentous day. Finally, the barrier preventing everyone from watching what happened in the Winchester House 20 years ago is lifting on the recordings of those events...no doubt everyone who's currently at the Hayes Mansion is doing whatever they can to fit unto the screening room the Hotel has put aside for them, large enough for everyone to watch the oncoming horrific events in comfort.
...But, 20 years ago, all anyone knew was that they'd finally been authorized to move. After days of waiting - in order to get a few more agents on site - the group to finally enter the house had been chosen. There were, of course, agents left behind - outside the house to provide support if need be, and to give the agents going in supplies if things got bad in there...or to report back to the Foundation in case of deaths.
Stepping into the house is eerie, but the doors swing open - and there's no sign of the black fog that'd been plaguing the area for a few days. As the group carries in what they'll need for a potential stay, it almost seems...quiet. Peaceful.
That is, until everything has been safely dragged in and stored away...and everyone comes to meet in the Living room, just in front of the entryway..
Because, you see...the moment every single agent on the mission steps fully into the house, into the living room...
The entrance doors slam shut, and cannot be opened. More than that - from the windows, it's clear to see the outside has changed - from the slightly suburban area of San Jose to a dark forest surrounding the entire house.
And if they were worried about the Agents still outside, well...yelling and screaming can be heard from the outside, flashes of what has to be power usage and attacks against something that can't be seen, something surely horrifying and terrible, because...
...It doesn't take long before all the noise from the outside stops, and only silence reigns.
Silence...and if one looked through the windows...blood smears staining the trees and ground...
...But, they are still alive. The House is quiet, though there's a faint sense of whispering at the edges of your hearing, the brush of something against your body when you least expect it. And always, always...the feeling of having willingly walked into the jaws of some great predator, of overwhelming dread in the pit of one's stomach.
Welcome, Foundation Agents.

Still, he could hardly call himself impressed by Gin's words. ]
I doubt your words would stop the others from wasting just as much time, mongrel.

It's in their nature, wouldn't ya say? The rank and file act rashly when cut from the "head."

[ His gaze will eventually slide towards Rin, Sissel, and some of those who were finally beginning to sort it out. Or maybe they already were before he bothered to look in their direction, but as far as he concerned it was undoubtedly a 'finally'. ]
It's only natural those fools would react as much. How they will act afterwards will prove whether or not they'll actually have a chance of surviving this.

As if you have any right to even speak such a way to me, considering your own lack of action so far. Unless you want to prove my own observations of your idle foolishness wrong.

[ If anything, he found the idea amusing. Though, it ... wasn't like it was particularly difficult to get him pissy given his usual, constant state of displeasure. ]
Of course not, though one could hardly say you've been up to anything useful, and that still remains to be seen.

[Quid pro quo?? Two currently useless assholes posturing at each other]

Of course I can, fool. Not that I plan to waste my time doing so for long.
Though you hardly seem like the type of person who can claim the same.

Besides, the ones you surely have made are hardly of substance in comparison to my own.

[ He did have enough self-awareness to acknowledge he was, in fact, at once a very shitty king who hardly deserved the title. But he need not say such a thing to a complete stranger. ]

[If you need to be a level ten friend to unlock tragic backstories, what level do you have to be if you're just being assholes to each other?]

Don't make me laugh.
Just by you knowing the mere fact that I've had a direct hand in sending a creature who would have seen the end of humanity to the abyss is all you need to know of any appropriate actions I have taken. Though, I could go on and on about how I've been able to make Uruk prosper and other such details that I won't bother wasting on a mongrel like you.
And if you should bother to think of our actions thus far here, we've just entered this place, and you, along with most of the people here have hardly done anything to show your actions would be superior to my own.

[Wherever Uruk is. Japanese Afterlife wouldn't have much global awareness, thanks to isolationism.]
