Week 6

After that mess of a game on Saturday and the arrival of an unexpected guest, the house falls into an uneasy quiet for the rest of the weekend. Nobody else has come on site since the start of the game, barring the prinnies who come and go every day. What could this interruption mean? Dazai gives no indication that the game is over, and yet they weren't supposed to see anybody else until it was all finished. Dazai's nervousness surrounding the person known as 'Mission Control' might be concerning as well.

The rain stops sometime on Sunday night, but the air becomes humid and muggy. Luckily the house is air conditioned, but going outside is going to be miserable for a couple days until everything dries up. While the temperature remains a steady 75 degrees, the humidity is awful through Wednesday. Luckily it looks like the weather will be less miserable by the weekend, which might be what everyone needs. There's no telling what Saturday might bring.

Dazai had said the game would end 'soon', and signs are pointing towards it only lasting another week or two. But when will it really be over? Will everyone survive? And will they be able to bring back their dead friends? Only time will tell.

Well, it certainly is a bonding activity, at least...

[Ellie is not exactly comfortable with everyone being so crowded together, but this stuff is important, yes. Still, she does kind of curl in and place a note of her own in the middle there:

Standing Orders: Maintain low profile, prioritize survival.
Activate on codeword or if life is directly threatened.

She does not have the codeword listed. Look, keeping a low profile is part of those orders, so she can't just tell you the codeword and let herself get immediately jumped.]

No kidding. We honestly should start playing sort of game, but. . . I think we did most of the ones that I could come up with.

At this rate, I might have to search up 'party games to play when murder happens' because this crap keeps happening.

...I might have to look into that too, actually. I mean, not the "when murder happens", but if I keep getting missions where I'm stationed with about two dozen other people in close quarters for several months like this...

Yeah. . . . and I would not be surprised if it happens again. If it's happened twice, there's literally no reason it can't happen a third time.

The best situation for a killswitch is to not need to be activated.

[In the first place, she is really hoping to not need to fight Moriarty, since she's not sure she can actually win without dying herself.]

Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure a loser is someone who has trouble getting along with people, after all.

Thankfully, I haven't met any such people like that in this role. I don't think they would actually do well at this kind of job anyways.

Hm... I wish I had something to help, but I don't exactly have a lot of experience in this kind of thing. Back home it was mostly other people who led things, after all.

We don't really have party games where I'm from, either. Maybe you could tell me a little more about what you did at home? Were you a student?

Well, I think I mentioned before that I was an orphan. Schooling where I'm from is largely privatized, so I couldn't actually get any schooling on the basis of being an orphan. And after I became an Inquisitor, well... None of us fellow Inquisitors in training were exactly the type to open up to people, especially considering what we were being taught.

I did manage to get into high school, though. Mostly because I had a Star Brand, which meant I was drafted into Fort City's standing defense, and part of the draft was going there... That being said, I mostly spent my free time doing Inquisitor stuff and practicing at the firing range.

Still, occasionally the S-Ranks all got together to hang out, although we never really did any party games.
