Week 6

After that mess of a game on Saturday and the arrival of an unexpected guest, the house falls into an uneasy quiet for the rest of the weekend. Nobody else has come on site since the start of the game, barring the prinnies who come and go every day. What could this interruption mean? Dazai gives no indication that the game is over, and yet they weren't supposed to see anybody else until it was all finished. Dazai's nervousness surrounding the person known as 'Mission Control' might be concerning as well.

The rain stops sometime on Sunday night, but the air becomes humid and muggy. Luckily the house is air conditioned, but going outside is going to be miserable for a couple days until everything dries up. While the temperature remains a steady 75 degrees, the humidity is awful through Wednesday. Luckily it looks like the weather will be less miserable by the weekend, which might be what everyone needs. There's no telling what Saturday might bring.

Dazai had said the game would end 'soon', and signs are pointing towards it only lasting another week or two. But when will it really be over? Will everyone survive? And will they be able to bring back their dead friends? Only time will tell.

That is correct. We will end the game today and that motive will never happen, should we be able to go in and capture the rogue agents.

And the message I was told to send to you came from Akira. He wrote a letter that I found and told me to send you this message verbatim:

"So whoever's behind this whole disaster got Crow and me both, it looks like. We can't be your backup this time. I fucking swear, I don't care that there's no Shinigami, I will haunt your ass through sheer determination if you don't get the rest of my people out of this alive, Boss. Don't make me regret believing in the answer you gave me."

Then what will happen to everyone else after everything, then? Will we be sent to our original sites after the extraction? Or is that information classified as well?

Any contestants who are not compromised will be sent back to their original sites, yes.

The rogue agents will be contained and questioned.

I assume that's basically 'anybody who went rogue / is working with said rogue agent(s)'? You're sounding pretty sure at this point that you know who is behind this. Not to mention the things you spoke about on Saturday.

Anyway, you replied to Saki that there are twelve of us here in the House and one hundred people on site 4 - since when did this become the trolley problem? Not to mention that there's no proof that in the off chance that we do get offed that those on site 4 won't, either.

Some of the staff on there are 6350s as well, after all.

Mostly-sure. There are only a few details we are missing.

And as for why we won't move in now with superior numbers, think of it this way: you could have a thousand paper-soldiers, but one matchstick will defeat all of them.

So basically what you're saying is that it's like Pokémon. You don't bring a bunch of rock-types to a water gym. Unless they're overleveled, of course. Then again, numbers aren't everything, when it comes to a fight. Especially a strategic one.

Is it because you're not entirely clear as to what exactly, you're dealing with, or is it because you don't think you can stop it?

It's the former. And given the nature of the Foundation's work, going in without proper information can be deadly.

At least you seem to be someone with somewhat of a clear head outside of the fact that you were responsible for at least coming up with some of the motives.
