Week 6

After that mess of a game on Saturday and the arrival of an unexpected guest, the house falls into an uneasy quiet for the rest of the weekend. Nobody else has come on site since the start of the game, barring the prinnies who come and go every day. What could this interruption mean? Dazai gives no indication that the game is over, and yet they weren't supposed to see anybody else until it was all finished. Dazai's nervousness surrounding the person known as 'Mission Control' might be concerning as well.

The rain stops sometime on Sunday night, but the air becomes humid and muggy. Luckily the house is air conditioned, but going outside is going to be miserable for a couple days until everything dries up. While the temperature remains a steady 75 degrees, the humidity is awful through Wednesday. Luckily it looks like the weather will be less miserable by the weekend, which might be what everyone needs. There's no telling what Saturday might bring.

Dazai had said the game would end 'soon', and signs are pointing towards it only lasting another week or two. But when will it really be over? Will everyone survive? And will they be able to bring back their dead friends? Only time will tell.

Oh. She pauses as what appears to be a glass ball falls into her hand.]

[She murmurs something under her breath, and the toy lifts into the air, beginning to spin. As it does, it gives off a buzzing sound, almost like an insect.]

It's a wasp ball. It's a toy from home that kids use to practice their cantus when they're first learning.

[ she watches for a few seconds, and then ] ...bad memories?

[She sighs, letting it drop into her hand again.]

...Yes. A friend of mine... his power became too hard for him to control. To stop it from leaking out, he had about seven hundred of these in the air to force himself to focus.

He... died not long after that.

[Karen freezes when she sees the coin. After a moment, though, she removes it from the box with a sigh, looking over it.]

I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised to see this again.

... Why the hell's the House so obsessed with maids? Is it fuckin' mad at us 'cause we don't clean enough or something, or do the Prinnies just suck that much at it.

[Yes that's apparently going to be his whole reaction to the maid uniform, he's the worst. Then again given the number of maids that have popped up recently he's probably getting used to it. Also he has a minor vendetta against maid uniforms at this point, you can probably blame Vanitas for that.]

It was still quite cold inside Castle Krakenburg. The weather in Nohr was very harsh.
