Week 5

With the Studio in shambles, it seems odd that the game would continue on. You would think that forces from site 4 would drop in and extract people, right? But no, not a peep is heard from them. The game continues on as it has for all the previous weeks, and there is no sign of it stopping.

The weather certainly matches the mood, though. By Monday morning, a light rain will start to fall, making the area damp and gloomy. People can go outside if they so wish, but they might want to don some raincoats and rain boots.

With power off at the studio, it is safe to assume that no cameras are on there. But what about the rest of the house? Will surveillance continue there? And what is everyone going to do about this balancing act of 'survive' and 'convince everyone you should be allowed to live'? How long will it be before everyone cracks from the pressure?

[After a long silence there's just an equally long sigh, loud and vaguely grouchy-sounding but maybe not as much a prelude to yelling as all his motions and noises have been so far.]

I almost fucking forgot that part.

[You know. The part where they almost all got blown up. Possibly because he was pretty much 1000% distracted at that point and also because it somehow registered less than everything happening around it. Saturday was A Lot and he's still processing it. There are a billion more things he could be mad about!!

But he's very good at choosing a grudge and chomping down on it, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. There's a brief motion of his hands, fingers uncurling just a little before he peeks around them with one vaguely baleful red eye at the Prinny.]

Y'know it's really hard to take you seriously in that dumb penguin voice.

[He seems at least a little mollified, though... maybe.]

[ Same here, 'cept this prinny really has no excuse. Besides the fact that he hasn't completely come to a stop from rolling, even if it has slowed down. Meeting the eye contact with that same prinny look, still sideways in the rubble. ]

...I cannot disagree with you. But this is the only way we can communicate verbally, even if we are free to move around normally without these costumes in a limited sense.

I could write you a long letter, however. [ Just a hint of playfulness there, as the successful(?) apology has not gone unnoticed. ]

[The aftershocks from this particular rolling explosion probably won't peter out until long after; sometime when they figure out what to do about all these goddamn Prinnies and maybe eventually once Nora really satisfies his quota of both yelling and violence on the proper parties.

For now he grumbles and then reaches over to thwap at the Prinny with one hand.]

Hmph. Just save it, I hate reading long freakin' letters and shit.

[The vague smacking turns into a more solid punch, approximately where flipper shoulder might be. These damn penguins don't have shoulders either.]

Don't think you're getting off easy just 'cause you're a penguin, though!! I'm still going to drag your ass back from the afterlife an' punch you!!

[And there's all that stubbornness again, like an avalanche, something that nothing and no one can budge or take.]

I will keep in mind that a list or some other medium would be more acceptable to you. [ The prinny is moved a bit from the punch, but it rolls back to where it was after with a delayed "Oww." ]

I would expect nothing less. However, i would not recommend punching me in my natural form. [ Just giving out pointers for angry retaliation as a star does. ]

[There's another punch but this one seems to be more of a warning shot or a reflex reaction than anything else, so it's lighter and kind of bounces off amid his usual grumbling about stupid Prinnies, stupid expectations, etc. Have some side-eye before Nora just stares at the sky instead.]

And don't underestimate my FISTS, even sealed I've punched crazier shit than cubes or stars or whatever. Probably!

[He seems keen to demonstrate this by... punching the air. Such menace very threat wow.]

I am normally resistant or reflective to any physical damage in that form. However, if you would like to in essence punch yourself, I will not stop you.

[Damn bouncy birds and their ability to bounce back from just about anything, apparently. Nora takes a moment to contemplate bouncing him right back out again but ultimately elects to flop grumpily instead.]

'Course you are. There ain't many barriers I can't punch through, though. AND I have magic. I don't care how many times I gotta try!!

[Or how many times he punches himself, I guess. Nora are you trying to rekill star already. He ain't even back yet.]

I am resistant to most magic as well, in addition to reflecting fire. But...it might be fun. [ Seeing Nora punch himself? Seeing dog trying to kill star as soon as he gets revived? Maybe all of the above. He does sound like he's genuinely looking forward to this though, what kinda nostalgia is this?

The truth is more simply: he's just simply happy to be talking with Nora like this again. Feelings are still difficult, but this is familiar. ]
