Week 5

With the Studio in shambles, it seems odd that the game would continue on. You would think that forces from site 4 would drop in and extract people, right? But no, not a peep is heard from them. The game continues on as it has for all the previous weeks, and there is no sign of it stopping.

The weather certainly matches the mood, though. By Monday morning, a light rain will start to fall, making the area damp and gloomy. People can go outside if they so wish, but they might want to don some raincoats and rain boots.

With power off at the studio, it is safe to assume that no cameras are on there. But what about the rest of the house? Will surveillance continue there? And what is everyone going to do about this balancing act of 'survive' and 'convince everyone you should be allowed to live'? How long will it be before everyone cracks from the pressure?

Yeah. It's not like I forgive that guy for what he's doing either. But between this and the Foundation properly, I'd pick this a hundred times.

I've been on the run before. [She's.... tired. There's something haunted in her expression, something distant and really fucking old. She doesn't want to think about this, but the motive earlier dragged it all back up, reminded her of exactly how big the pit inside her soul is. How much she's lost. How little it all meant.]

It fuckin' sucks, and they'll catch up anyway and... [No. No. She's not doing this.]

It ain't fuckin' worth it.

I've gone through that. Always had the police on me when I was an assassin.

[ oda doesn't understand her entirely, but he does know what it's like to be on the run. to actually prefer being caught and jailed because it meant a warm meal and a roof over his head. ]

But maybe there's still something we can do. Vanitas said he had a plan to throw the guys off their trail. We just gotta keep our story the same, if they question us.

For an ex-assassin, you're being fuckin' optimistic. You think everyone here can keep a story like this straight?

If it goes wrong, we'll either get killed when the soldiers come in or we'll have to run away. And if we run away, they'll eventually find us and kill us.

[ big shrug. if giriko wants realism then he'll dish it out to her in the most deadpan face. ]

I won't blame you if you wanna give up. But she seems to have some hope, so I'll believe in that for now. And if it fails...[ he shrugs ] ...then I'll take as many of the Foundation down with me.

I never said I'm giving up. [She can't. She's stuck around too long to know how not to persevere.

And this week... there's something Giriko has to do.]

[ he nods. ]

I trust you.

[That stops Giriko completely in her tracks.]

Wh- [no, seriously, what?

(that's what she wants to hear, all she ever wants to hear, something like "i trust you" but--)]

What the fuck is that even supposed to mean? [that doesn't... there's no way he actually trusts her.]

Are you fucking insane?

[ he tilts his head? ]

It means I trust you to not give up to the Foundation. Even if it means having to cover for people like the Host.

You can't just-- say shit like that to people! [She's having too many emotions today please let her recover she's so off balance.]
