Week 2 Mingle

A week has gone by without a single death. It must seem pretty amazing, given the track record for death games within the Foundation. But after two successful games and no murders, everyone's spirits are up.

Those positive emotions are going to be put to the test, though. Starting on Monday, things are changing.

The first and most obvious change is that presents will start appearing on people's beds. They could appear any day of the week, but eventually nearly everyone will get something. How useful that 'something' is remains to be seen. The clothes might be useful. The weapons? Well, that depends on your definition of 'useful.'

The next change is a bit more subtle, but can still be picked up on. Several places, namely the bathrooms, are getting rather large and obvious microphones. They only record sound, so visual privacy is protected, but you better be careful of what you say around them. You never know just who is listening in.

But as the second week starts, the weather remains warm and the Host remains cheerful. Will this continue to be a game where nobody dies? Only time will tell.

[ Before the motive . . .!

Goro can be found hauling out a bunch of random junk from his room (American football, red pool noodle, moon shoes). Once he's set the stuff out on the dining room table, he put up a paper sign that says: "Free to a Good Home"

You're welcome???

A little later, Ozaki, Dazai, Akira, Silver, and Inaba will be getting approached directly, and he'll always be holding something in his hands.

A little later still, he will be knocking on the door of Blue Room, holding something loosely wrapped in a towel. He has an apologetic smile preemptively on his face.

After the motive . . .!

He's sitting just outside (front porch, for once), bottle of water in his hands. He's just... sitting there, doing nothing other than staring straight ahead. If he notices someone coming out there, the smile he tries to give doesn't remotely reach his eyes. He does offer a wave, at least? That's something.

Later on, he will be out in the backyard, lying on his back, next to the pool. Exciting!

ALSO . . . he will be trying to remove the microphones from the bathrooms. Smart! ]

[ Ganking the moon shoes for reasons. ]

[ well, oda had noticed the look on goro’s face as he walked away from the motive, but had decided against going after him. he wanted to give him some time for himself, but by the time oda sees him next to the pool, he supposes that it’s time.

and if not, well that’s too bad.

oda approaches him, tilting his head down at the figure laying down. ]

Trying to sunbathe?

[arraignments]

[ He blinks, opening his eyes before he moves to sit up. There's a grim smile on his lips as he nods. ]

I could probably stand to... [ he pale ] ... but, no. I was hoping to clear my head a bit.

[odasaku]

You might just get sunburn at that rate.

[ oda sits down next to him, his eyes focused on the pool. ]

What did you think of it? The motive.

[Saki will stand, peering over Inaba's shoulder curiously.]

[Karen stands nearby, also watching.]

[Silver is drinking a soda for breakfast because THERES NO PARENTS]

Oh, mornin', Goro. Did someone dump a bunch of crap on your bed, too?

[arraignments]

[ There are, though. We have Moriarty and Saki and Oda(??). And Dazai maybe counts as garbage dad, just so we can pun with Dadzai, even though he's younger than, like. 80% of us, or something. ]

They sure did.

[ He's going to set some garden gloves into his lap and give Silver a small smile. ]

Would you... mind teaching me how to garden?

[ok well no parents that care about having soda for breakfast]

Ohh! These are gardening gloves! [he blinks at the request] E.... eh? I mean... yeah! Of course I can! Why the sudden interest...?

[So. Normally he wouldn't even bother with the washrooms, but getting nerfed to human levels and needing to eat implies that other bodily functions need to be dealt with eventually, which leads to this... fortuitous meeting by the stalls. Why did I even type that sentence.

Anyway. It's hard to miss the microphones and whatever Akechi's attempting, so.]

...What are you doing?

[arraignments]

[ He looks at Sandalphon, and then back at the microphones. ]

It's bad enough, trying to use the restroom when there are other people in here, but to try while there is something listening in with microphones. . .

[ Does... he need to elaborate? ]

[He has to pause to consider this for a second before--]

...Hmph, understood. Let's eliminate them right away.

[And then he draws the sword at his hip uh.]

WILD CARD + Front porch maybe? ( Akechi -> Vanitas -> Akira? )

[ Vanitas is going to be strolling out with a cup of fresh coffee and some one walking with him. He'll tip his cup towards Akechi. ]

What are we doing here?

[overconfidant]

[Someone being Akira with a cup of coffee of his own cradled in his hands. He's wearing this shirt and these shorts.

And damn those legs.]

Hi, honey.

[arraignments]

[ Oh...

... Hang on, he's studying Those Legs for a moment? (Damn them, indeed.) Before looking to those cups of coffee, and then looking away. A long sigh sneaks out before he looks away. He holds a blink, and then looks back to them. He smiles and nods. ]

I was just... clearing my head.

[ AND... trying to avoid the smell of coffee, but...!!! ]

[Ozaki was slouching into the main living area when Akechi came up to him]

Akechi-kun?

[arraignments]

[ He smiles, holding out a 25-pack of cherry-flavored cough drops. ]

I have no use for these, but I figured you'd be the first to learn about it, if anyone winds up in need of these.

[Ozaki will take them, slightly bemused]

...Thanks. I'll be sure to keep them in mind if anyone starts to show signs of needing them.

[Maybe Nora and Atsushi, assuming they manage to strangle each other at some point]

[Atsushi had noticed Goro's reaction to the motive, and while he stops to grab himself a drink first--a bottle of iced green tea--he does follow him out to the front porch soon enough. He'll settle near Goro quietly, meeting that smile with a small, but quiet one of his own.]

Are you doing ok?

[arraignments]

[ His expression softens a bit at the question, and then he lets himself relax a tiny bit - that way someone relaxes when they remember this is a person they trust, perhaps?

As... strange as it feels to already be feeling some trust towards someone he hasn't known that long. But, in the end... they have all they've talked about, don't they? ]

Depends... on your definition, perhaps.

[ Goro gives a tiny, dim smile. ]

I am sorry to... worry you? And, I have to admit I'm still not used to the idea of someone... doing that.

[ Worrying about him. ]

[ Mitsuru, don't run around the pool. There are many dangers to that, a nasty fall is one of them. ]

Wah!

[ Thankfully, he avoids falling on Akechi, but ends up falling into that pool in trying to change his course. If that doesn't snap Akechi out of whatever he's doing lying down, Mitsuru's gonna call out to him, poking his head out of the water by the pool's edge. ]

Hey Akechi-chan-senpai, you're being a pool hazard!

[ It's not entirely his fault... ]

[arraignments]

[ He blinks softly, moving to sit up and give Mitsuru a concerned look. ]

S-sorry...

[ A soft sigh escapes. ]

Perhaps you shouldn't be running near the pool in the first place, though?
