Six weeks.

They had been here for that long, and still...the game was continuing.
Yet, it felt like they were finally about to reach the end of it...
Just a little longer. 🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
Yet, it felt like this week would be the week they would finally get all the pieces to the puzzle.
But...could they solve it?

Only time would tell.

[Everything about this is all-new: an all-new building, an all-new servant, all-new appearance and even all-new mannerisms. It's as though what came before never was, erased under the tidal wave of the weekend itself. The bloodhound gives a low grumble, but it seems to just be his way of communicating; the slow tail thumps once, twice, and he blinks one eye and then the other as he stares up at Emi.] Of course they are all wonderful hounds. The mistress would accept no less. She is generous, too, and allows our retired dogs to live out their life on this island. [The hound keeper seems pleased that she's interacting with the old dog.]

I'm glad to hear that. I've never been a fan of people who will throw away anything that's old.

[ And while she refuses to consciously make this comparison (or compare herself to a hound at all, honestly), she kind of is the old dog to Kikko's cute puppy. ]

What's this one's name?

Without the old and the experienced, we wouldn't have any peers close at hand to help calm our puppies when they become too rowdy. [He chuckles a little, as the beagle in his lap bounds over to where Emi is -- it's not like the little guy can resist following the guests around for attention regardless, but he promptly gets distracted by the bloodhound's tail, too.] The old man is named Mash. The little one who wants attention is Gulliver.

[ wow, it's like she can just hear this old dog calling her senpai all of a sudden


Thankfully having two hands means that if the puppy wants in on this too, she can be polite and distribute pets evenly. ]

It's nice to meet you, Mash, Gulliver.

[ She'll turn to the hound keeper himself after that. ]

[There are so many wagging tails. Waggling butts!! Gulliver is probably going to wiggle himself right off of Mash where he's climbed up there, he's so excited. Mash just grumbles about being a senpai or something and reaches up a paw to rearrange the puppy problem a bit. For his part, the keeper inclines his head, have some on-the-fly formality.] I am Robert, keeper of the hounds for our Lady of the house. I hope you've been enjoying your stay here.
