Six weeks.

They had been here for that long, and still...the game was continuing.
Yet, it felt like they were finally about to reach the end of it...
Just a little longer. 🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
Yet, it felt like this week would be the week they would finally get all the pieces to the puzzle.
But...could they solve it?

Only time would tell.

[Riku would, of course, be one of the ones best-equipped to deal with the new servant and his prototype's matching tendency to change appearances. He gets a curious head-tilt and frantic butt-wiggling welcome from the beagle in addition to the little paw wave. The hound keeper inclines his head.] This little one and I are both recent arrivals on the island, you could say.

[ ... He just stares kind of like 'wtf' because "Anon" speaking so formally is going to be throwing him for a loop for awhile now. ]

...What would I be calling you?

[It's a good thing he doesn't look entirely like Anon, at least. The uncanny valley is slightly better?? And at least there are puppies. The hound keeper seems to take the staring with good grace, if a little curiosity.] I am Robert, honored guest. With whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?

[ If he'd been drinking something right now though he'd spat it out. ]

Riku. Nice to meet you, I guess.

Riku -- a pleasure, I'm sure. Are you here to meet my charges? [At least Riku's learned something here and that is never come to the kennel with a drink in hand. Well-done, Riku. The beagle seems to be aware that he's being talked about, or something, or maybe it's just that the keeper patted his head absently. His tail's still been wagging this whole time, too.]

Something like that. How long have you been taking care of them?

[ Indeed. +10 Knowledge Stat get. ]

I've been working with hounds for many years, but my employment with the Lady is fairly recent. I am still learning the particulars of this estate. [As it turns out, the keeper has the same inquisitive head tilt as most of his hounds, which Gulliver promptly mirrors. Good times.] If you are interested in the hounds, or in hunting, feel free to come by at any time. I am told the forest is full of exciting possibilities. [That's. One way to put it.]

...I don't think I'd be very good at hunting. But, it's a nice offer, so I think I'll probably stop by another time to check out the dogs.
