Six weeks.

They had been here for that long, and still...the game was continuing.
Yet, it felt like they were finally about to reach the end of it...
Just a little longer. 🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
Yet, it felt like this week would be the week they would finally get all the pieces to the puzzle.
But...could they solve it?

Only time would tell.

[For anyone looking for any robot servants, they will unfortunately not find any actual Wheatley clones anywhere on the island. However, there is a weird looking goat cleaning up the bar today. He's as tall as the others, but not muscular at all. And unlike the other goats his fur is a silky white, with bright blue eyes aided by a monocle- Aaaand the goat decided to eat the bar rag. Nobody's watching, right?]

...I think that goat's familiar somehow. It obviously isn't that Ambrose that keeps getting into trouble, though...

Mmf? [He looks up at- OH! THIS LADY! And a guest. He quickly spits out the bar rag and hides it behind his back.] SORRY! Sorry! I wasn't eating any rags! Nothing to see here! [... That's Wheatley's voice.]

[And to him:] See that you eat them even less from now on.

Y-Yes ma'am. [He respectfully bows to Vinea before turning his attention to the guest.] Did you need a drink, Miss? I can fix one up for you, since we're here.

...I suppose it wouldn't hurt to see what you can make. No alcohol in the drink, though.

No alcohol... Got it. [He walks over behind the bar and... Hm, there are quite a lot of drinks here, but which ones have alcohol in them again...? ... He prepares a glass of ice water for her.] Here you are. Enjoy.

[The guest is satisfied, all is well. The goat goes back to cleaning the top of the bar. With the rag. That still has his saliva on it. Gross. But hey, he's here if you need anything.]

What happened to our previous guests, from your perspective? After all, you remember how many there were when you first arrived, right?

[What's that? Picking up a plot thread left from almost a month ago? I sure am!]

One was a Witch in disguise. Most of them are dead, either murdered or executed for murder. Two seem to have just disappeared--I assume they died, too, perhaps from accidents.

And you don't see any odd similarities between the new employees and the guests that have died, huh...?

Well, you did say you wouldn't notice, so I'm not surprised, but...

A few weeks ago, in the second floor library, I saw a fragment where a princess was mourning her fiancé. She looked like a shorter version of Matou-san.

True enough, as long as there's access to infinite fragments it's inevitable. Still, the ones being brought in as servants appearing to have similarities to pieces that were, "removed from play", is unlikely to be a coincidence after it's happened this often. Can we agree on that, at least?

It's possible that some of them have been used as vessels for Furniture. Joey-san is certain that's where mine came from, for instance.

So it's a matter of them being used as vessels, then?

...Then, let's ask a slightly more relevant question, which you may or may not know the answer to. This week, your master indicated that she'll bring a piece back into play if someone's killed. Let's say though, that someone were to bring your vessel back into play. What would happen to you as a result of that?

...I presume she'd end our contract, and I would cease to exist in this world.

Then let's change the question a bit. Would you still want to be here if the contract was ended?

You and the stakes are all weapons, right? Then I might be able to summon you the same way. I can't guarantee it, of course, but it's an option I want you to consider.

If your contract ends, I might be able to bring you back here like I did with the stakes. That being said, it needs to be your choice, not mine. I'm a fighter first and foremost after all, so sticking with me won't exactly be easy.
