WEEK 5 MINGLE - AMARANTHUS

Another trial, another horrible outcome.

This time, it affected so many people...and yet, they still weren't done.
Who would be killed next?
Would they be able...to handle whatever happened?🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
It was all becoming routine at this point.
Was that a good thing, or a bad one...?
It was...too hard to tell, now...

...Either way, they were now closer to the end.
So, like always...they had to see it through.

... Oh. Wow. I... Did you volunteer for Lobotomy Corp as a test subject, 'coz that's rather harsh.

Nah, that's not how it works. I grew up on the Backstreets learned to fight and survive, and eventually started calling me The Red Mist. That's when things really took off, and I managed to become a Fixer. Once you become a Fixer, there are a lot more options available to a person, though it means the risks increase too, and eventually Lobotomy hired me to keep them safe.

[Wheatley nods, seeming to understand... Yet he has no idea where she's coming from.]

A Fixer... I take it that's kind of like a bodyguard or something?

Ah, it's probably closer to something like a mercenary. The Wings have a lot of stuff they want done, but don't want to be linked to it, so what they tend to do is hire Fixers to take care of their problems for them, in exchange for some things that can't be found under normal circumstances. Great way to earn money, though the tendency to wipe your memories once the job's done gets kind of annoying after a while. Most of the money I made went into the Backstreets, too. There's always a lot that needs doing there, and not a whole lot of people with the resources to get them done, after all.
