Another trial, another horrible outcome.

This time, it affected so many people...and yet, they still weren't done.
Who would be killed next?
Would they be able...to handle whatever happened?🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
It was all becoming routine at this point.
Was that a good thing, or a bad one...?
It was...too hard to tell, now...

...Either way, they were now closer to the end.
So, like always...they had to see it through.

Sakura...

[Joey can't imagine...any of this. No matter how lonely and abandoned she's felt, she recognizes it's not a fraction of what either of these women have gone through. And neither of them seem to be much older than her, frankly. It's disturbing and sorrowful on a level she can't comprehend.]

[Well, at least someone who isn't a flower is crying for Sakura, I guess.]

Well then I'll cry because I'm sad you went through this. Or that the girl in the story went through this. Or that anyone went through this ever in any universe.

Are people of any species just that bad?

People...love to have a scapegoat for their troubles, and the particularly bad ones don't care if it's someone who doesn't deserve it.

'm not going to let that happen again. Someone has to stand up for innocent people, even if no one else will.
