Another trial, another horrible outcome.
This time, it affected so many people...and yet, they still weren't done.
Who would be killed next?

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.
The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
It was all becoming routine at this point.
Was that a good thing, or a bad one...?
It was...too hard to tell, now...
...Either way, they were now closer to the end.
So, like always...they had to see it through.

Right as he finishes the last note, a chiming bell rings out through the open door Watanuki is sitting near. It sounds exactly like the bell on the door to a shop, and it seems to be coming from another part of the house.]
Ah. They're here.
[He says that like he has been expecting a customer or something.]

[She hazards a voiced idea, and walks toward Watanuki and the door. Ballet slippers also work for inside Japanese houses too, right.]

Watanuki sets the Shamisen aside on a pillow nearby before standing up (when did he even sit down???) and starting to head inside.]
I'll go get the drinks ready. Can you greet her and bring her to the sitting room?
[For dream/vision/wtfland, Joey will somehow know exactly what room that is, in this house she has never been in before. She will also be able to make it to the front door with no trouble.
And waiting for her there is a familiar face, though perhaps a bit younger than she might be expecting to see, as this visitor is definitely a teenager.]

[Joey's just going to improv whatever role she's supposed to have here and listen to Watanuki. This is clearly Watanuki's memory and there's a good chance that something important is going to be shown.]

[She shakes her head.]
"I'm sorry, I think you have mistaken me for someone else."
[That said, she will still follow Joey into the shop.]

[Dammit why doesn't anyone in this social circle keep the same name for more than a month.]

But anyway off to the sitting room they go! And Watanuki is there, with tea prepared for all three of them at a low table with cushions to sit on. When Joey and the woman enter, he looks up to them and smiles.]
Hello, []. It's been a while.
[Hmm. Did he just say a name there? It feels like he did, but Joey can't quite make out what that name was.
The woman seems stunned, though.]
"How do you know my name? And why are you speaking like we have met before?"
[Watanuki just smiles in return. But what will Joey do?]

[Joey's picking up something, though. This sounds like Watanuki's past, but wasn't Yuuko older than him? And she should definitely know him. And her name is definitely important. She steps back, facing Watanuki and standing on the woman's side of the discussion.]
I'm curious, too. I mistook her for someone else myself apparently, so I'm wondering...

You're thinking a bit too far back, I suspect. Though it has been a long, long time since then, so I can understand your confusion. Yuuko, Nirrti, [], they're all names that have been used before.
[And then, his attention turns back to the woman, who has not yet sat down at the table.]
But let's start with you. There's something on your mind, isn't there? Some nagging thought that keeps you awake at night.
[The woman is still guarded, but her eyes look a little sad when Watanuki says that. And while she is reluctant to admit to anything, she does eventually speak.]
"It...it feels like misfortune follows me everywhere. Ever since I was born, things have gone wrong. People get sick, things break down, and nothing seems to go right. I don't know why this bad luck has attached itself to me, but..."
[Watanuki holds up a hand to stop her.]
It's alright. You're coming into a power that you haven't yet had much experience with. Calling it 'misfortune' may not be entirely accurate, though. Sit with us, and we can discuss it further?
[The woman hesitates, and she casts one more glance at Joey before sitting down.]
"...alright."
[Then Joey is brought back to the mansion, positioned just as she was in the vision.
...and Watanuki apparently ate shit right into the ground at some point, because he is snoozing with his face pressed against the floor.]

[Joey ponders on this. So. Who was that? A human form of Nirrti? She seemed connected, but also confused. And relatively nice. She'd thought the face and the name were connected, but maybe not in Watanuki's dreams?]
[Right. She should bring this up with the others later. Right now, let's...man, he's too tall to carry. Let's go get some cushions from the sitting room.]
