Another trial, another horrible outcome.

This time, it affected so many people...and yet, they still weren't done.
Who would be killed next?
Would they be able...to handle whatever happened?🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
It was all becoming routine at this point.
Was that a good thing, or a bad one...?
It was...too hard to tell, now...

...Either way, they were now closer to the end.
So, like always...they had to see it through.

I'm guessing demons don't really have them?

There are some that do. I am not one of them. I am simply meant to be used as she pleases and as necessary. That is my duty. Anything outside of my summoning is unnecessary.

After reading some of the books in the library, a part of me is. . . interested in how humans think.

[It's oddly similar to Syaoran. Vinea was stern like Karen could be, Valefor had Akira's smirk. It was cruel, too cruel.]

Having a friend... it's having someone you can depend on. Like an ally but for things other than just fighting. Someone you enjoy being around.

That must truly be a nice thing. [ He says that smoothly, but there's something in the way his voice seems to be holding back emotions that makes things difficult. It's in a way that seems uncertain, really. ] You must have a lot of friends, if you can speak like that.

[He nods. It's not a boast: more he has to acknowledge all the people that made him who he is]

They're all precious to me.

I see. I may not fully understand it yet, but maybe in time. [ Maybe he will. But it's all really a foreign thing to him. All of it. ]

...would you like to cook with me?

I do not mind at all. It would be more efficient with two people, anyway.

That's right. And I think my friend would approve of doing it with someone else.

Very well. I am familiar with cooking, at least. You said you were making a miso marinade, correct? Which fish were you planning on cooking for it? The most common, I believe, is salmon, although it can also be done with black cod.

[goldenmaniac]

Salmon! Since the goats stock everything I might as well indulge a little.

[excavated]

Alright. Since we shall be working together, perhaps we should split the tasks. Did you have a preference on who should be doing what?

[goldenmaniac]

I've already started the marinade, so could you start preparing the fish, please?

[excavated]

Very well. [ He can do that! He's helping. ]

[goldenmaniac]

[Takumi already had mist if the hard stuff done, so it doesn't take long. He hugs to himself softly while they work]

[ Well, if he pays close attention to how Caim is working, he'll notice that it's definitely different from how Tsubasa cooks - it's more calculated and serious. Not to mention he's a hell of a lot quieter. ]

[ "there won't be much heart in that. I'll have to make up the difference." he thinks, and has to fight back the urge to cry]

It'll have to sit for a few hours so the marinade has time to seep into the fish.

Right. We should probably do something else while it sits, in that case.

Right. What do you wanna do?

Read, perhaps. Or we could just speak. I suppose I would like to know you more, as one of the pieces on the board here.
