Another trial, another horrible outcome.

This time, it affected so many people...and yet, they still weren't done.
Who would be killed next?
Would they be able...to handle whatever happened?🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
It was all becoming routine at this point.
Was that a good thing, or a bad one...?
It was...too hard to tell, now...

...Either way, they were now closer to the end.
So, like always...they had to see it through.

A butler who isn't called a butler...

[At least he's dressed like a butler but like, Anon is just frowning to himself over the entire thing. It's not like he's had a ton of close interaction with Nirrti's servants as opposed to her demons before this.

Man, this is probably the worst way to get more experience in this field.]

I guess the mansion does run pretty smoothly... [he hesitates and reaches up to scratch at one of the stripes under his eye, an odd nervous gesture] I guess everyone here just likes reading. And the couches.

[ Running a hand through the back of his hair sheepishly. ]

Below a butler, but until there is one—I guess so. 

Luckily there are two libraries for all of you to enjoy. But I might suggest the sitting room if comfort is your number one priority. Then again, if you're hosting a book club like the past weekend, the library really is the best spot.

[ ...that's why there was a lot of commotion there, right? That's what he got out of Anon's explanation. ]

[He's... still kind of frowny, because look, he's pretty in tune with the mannerisms of most of the people around him -- it's automatic and instinctive, but Natsuno's more than most. All of it is off even when he's looking away, like walking the same route home for years and one day suddenly finding it shifted several feet by an earthquake or something.

He stares down at his hands for a moment.]

You can enjoy them in different ways, I guess. I don't really mind reading anywhere -- there might be a book club, but I'm not really interested in stuff like that.

[ He hums, a curious sound. ]

Then what are you interested in?

[He glances up briefly, tries to gauge whether the footman's really asking. Either way...]

Fighting and fishing?

[If he knew what a job interview was this awkward atmosphere would probably be it.]

[ His curiosity seems genuine! And as for the atmosphere, he doesn't seem to mind. ]

I hear there's good fishing off the docks on the shore, but I imagine you've tried already. I'm not sure if the docks are a good for fighting, though.

I've definitely tried already. Not lately, though. Lately I've just been fighting at the docks.

[And the beach. And the vicinity in general -- it's just a very good time for him to exercise a lot and think about his swordplay instead of literally anything else. He pauses.]

Where did you come from, anyway? If you're new and all.

[Servants are even more mysterious than demons...]

[ That's a lot of fighting...the footsman almost looks impressed. Until the question at least where he looks away. ]

Ah-just from a fair bit away from here. Nowhere special.

Yeah. So are most of us -- far away from here, that is. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people here from someplace special.

[He's still looking away too so congrats to them on productive and illuminating conversation.]

[ Turning over those words, he seems to reengage from his prior discomfort. ]

What's it like where you're from? Is it special?

I wouldn't say that. It's just the Underworld.

[There's a faintly flat quality to that -- Natsuno would know what it means, but the footman probably won't. It's all good; we're just shooting the breeze about locations, after all. No deeper meaning here.]
