Another trial, another horrible outcome.

This time, it affected so many people...and yet, they still weren't done.
Who would be killed next?
Would they be able...to handle whatever happened?🗈

Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.

The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
It was all becoming routine at this point.
Was that a good thing, or a bad one...?
It was...too hard to tell, now...

...Either way, they were now closer to the end.
So, like always...they had to see it through.

[ Blinking intensifies, and he holds his hands up sheepishly. ]

A demon? I'm just a footsman of this household. Are you feeling alright? Do you need to sit down?

...Just a footsman? What do you mean by that?

[ Riku squints at him a bit. ]

Thanks for the concern, but I don't need to sit down.

[ Still holding his hands up. ]

If you're sure. I'm a footsman to the Lady of this mansion, that's all. Nothing more and nothing less. I'm afraid I don't know anything about demons or other occult matters... [ Looking off to the side. ]

[ Riku can't help but be bothered, he supposed. He's at least trying to keep a civil tone, but he underestimated how much this would ruffle his feathers. ]

If you're saying that, why'd you feel the need to look away?

I really don't know anything about demons. But I- the Lady was so generous to hire me despite my condition.

[rikuchi]

...What do you mean 'condition'?

[ His eyebrows kind of...furrow at that. ]

[ He's just here, looking increasingly uncomfortable. ]

It's a medical one. I don't... I don't think there's a reason you need to know, is there?

[rikuchi]

[ He...looks like he needs to think about that. Riku wasn't expecting to get to this line of questioning, and so he wonders if it's something he really wants to press.

Even now, he's thinking about being considerate. ]

There could be. [ Beat. ] But if you don't want to talk about it now, I'm not going to force you. What would be the point?
