Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

Ah, no, it's just... I had my time reversed. By Yuuko-san, seven years ago. Or I guess it's eight, now.

So, what, she made you look younger? Is that what reversed means...?

It's more that. . . when I was this age, all those years ago. She wound back my time seven years. But not just my time. Everyone's.

Ooh. Was that part of the wish stuff you were talking about? The taboo stuff? That sounds like pretty taboo stuff, if you dragged everyone else along with you.

Yes. [ He answers easily with no hesitance. ]

So, like, everyone in your world is just eight years younger than they're supposed to be? That's got to be really confusing...

[He cocks his head as he thinks this over some more.]

Why did you do something like that, anyway?

Not just in my world. In all worlds. [ Syaoran's from a multiverse, so. There you go. ] And I did it to save the person most important to me. Even if it meant creating a sin.

Well, if it's in all worlds I guess it doesn't matter as much! Nobody's off from the average!

[Is it really okay.]

So one of the Sakuras, right? Is it really a problem if you just dialed time back by eight years? Did you erase anything?

Because of my wish, I erased an entirely timeline. Things could have been different for so many people. But because I broke a taboo, it changed the lives of all those people.

But I mean, if you erased it, then it's like it never existed in the first place, right?

[That seems to be what happens if you erase timelines?? He's pretty sure. He's probably only read about it, because he doesn't actually come from a canon that crazy. Y'all.]

So if nobody else noticed, then does it matter...

Technically. I'm... the only remainder of that timeline. [ He says those words rather wistfully. ] But it does matter. Because I could have made everyone's lives more miserable than they could have. This game could have been prevented if it weren't for what I did.

So it only matters as long as you say it matters, and it stops mattering as soon as you say it does.

[With great power comes great responsibility or in this case just Anon being a great big flippant himself. That being said, he sort of just blinks at Syaoran's following logic a couple of times.]

... What does your wish have to do with this Game, anyway?

It deals with Kimihiro's existence. The wish that I made created him.

So you regret creating him?

No. I'd never regret it. And I don't regret my wish, either.

So if you don't regret anything, then why do you care that the game could not have happened...

[Point A goes to Point F how!! He doesn't understand this version of not having regrets, pls?]

It isn't that I don't have regrets... [...] It's just that I wish I could have been able to do something for him before all of this.

You've got to be careful with wishes, right?

[That's actually not especially serious. He's definitely needling Syaoran a little bit, but it's probably not malicious.]

And anyway, no matter what all of us and Watanuki are here in this Game now. So you might as well figure out what you can do here instead, rather than wasting time.

Yeah. [ He answers a little quietly before shaking his head, not in disagreement, but rather... to clear his head. ] You're probably right. I shouldn't be lamenting on the past and what ifs. I can't change the past.

That's the spirit. If you wanted to change the past (again) and be stupid you'd probably straight up have to grovel to Nirrti, and she'd have way too much fun with that.

I wouldn't do something like that.

[He's just going to jiiiiii helpfully at Syaoran for a little while. Or maybe he just wants to start a staring contest. That could be a thing. Ultimately, though:]

Maybe you can learn new tricks after all? If you ever grovel to Nirrti, though, I'm totally going to laugh at you. And then make you eat my cooking.
