Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

Well, you did seem pretty focused.

[ She holds her cup in her hands as she waits for it to cool, stealing a glance at his notepad. ]

What are you working on?

Ah, nothing too much. I've been reading some of the books on discoveries made after my time, and it's been absolutely fascinating! Did you know -

[And then he just. launches into a one sided monologue about modern advancements in mathmatics and all of that, which I'm not going to get into because good god I'd die.]

-So, as you can see, I just had to run down and try some of the formulas for myself - modified, of course, for this situation.

[ Totally did not get most of that, but smiles anyway. ]

It's always interesting reading about things that happen in the future, isn't it? Or experiencing some of the technology that came after your point in time. Have you seen the video games here?

[He lifts an eyebrow at that.]

I can't say that I have.

They're pretty impressive. We only had the most basic kind in the time I came from [ i.e. pong ] but they're much more complex now. The images are computer generated, but some of them are realistic enough that it almost seems like you're controlling the movements of a character in a movie.

[ And there's probably math involved in that? ]

Really? I'll have to take a look at them myself - do you know how they're made?

Not really, my focus was always in biology rather than computer science. If you want to see them sometime, I can show you, though.

[ Let her turn on a Playstation for you so she can feel less like the most outdated person here ]

I would be delighted! Though I would have to ask for it to be later. I've already got a full schedule ready for the day's events.

[He smiles, taking another sip of his tea and eating some of his breakfast.]

Oh, a stroll around the garden, a spot of exercise....nothing too major, but certainly enough for a fiftyish man like myself.

Oh, I wouldn't have guessed that you were the same age as Professor Hitoyoshi. Do you really get tired out that quickly?

Ha, well, you know. Breathing in the london fog for years wears down on anyone, especially an older gentleman like myself.

But I am just a humble Professor, so I'm much more used to using my mind than my body, you see.
