Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

Reading about murder is definitely going to come up a lot, I'd expect. I don't mind reading them, either. [ He's been picking up a lot of detective fiction, after all. ] Yeah. I think he's just her Servant, though, rather than her Furniture's Furniture. [ It's. Different. ] I just like reading. It kind of... [ There's a sad smile. ] ... reminds me of my father.

Wasn't he Vinea's Servant? It's kind of similar, is what Holmes kept saying.

[It's all kind of Greek to him at this point. He's more or less keeping up by going with the flow here.

Ah, yeah, your father was also a scholar type, right? Reading's a pretty good idea anyway, when we keep getting hit with more libraries. It's like the house is trying to tell us something!

I guess, but I don't know if Moriarty-san would really like to be called Furniture. [ :\ ] Yeah, he was. My father was an archeologist, similar to how I was. He was well learned and taught me a lot of things.

Can you be an archaeologist that fast? I thought you had to dig up all kinds of stuff first, like prehistoric animals and bodies and the bones of your ancestors? [no??] I get the feeling your father taught you a lot more than an average archaeologist...

Well, I've never exactly seen the bones of my ancestors since I was always searching around in different worlds and we more or less looked at objects instead of bodies. . . but you're right. He taught a lot of other things besides that.

Did he ever tell you what to do about haunted books and really powerful Witches? Maybe there's like, a spell or a charm or a weapon out there that can help us out. You've probably been cursed at least a couple of times, right?

I guess that's the closest description. [ hhhhhm ] I don't know too much about haunted books. There was a book that my father saw once that showed the memories of the first person who touched it to the second person. [ Yeah, that's a thing that happens in Tsubasa. ] But really powerful Witches, I wouldn't know. My abilities are probably not enough. The one who could probably match them. . . is Sakura, probably, but I wouldn't want to put her through that.
