Another week dawned.

But after the events at the trial, more than a few people would have wanted for time to stop still.

In this game, even unshakable loyalties....could be broken.🗈

If that were the case, then what was stopping even more horrible crimes from happening this thursday night?
And they knew they could do nothing to stop it from happening.

...Still, they had to continue the game, until one or both of the Witches admitted defeat, or the game itself came to a close.

Yet, they also felt as if something might change. Some big reveal felt as if it was just around the corner....but for now, it seemed as if they had to play the waiting game.

No matter how awful that felt.

And even if I ask you who summoned you, at best you'll probably just say "it's a secret" or be irritatingly vague like everyone else around here that knows something, so let's skip that. You know something, but you're not going to tell us until we figure it for ourselves or someone jumps up and shouts "Just as planned!"

It's called "basic pattern recognition". Everyone who knows something is practically allergic to giving a straight answer.

Oh sure, they'll apologize for it, as though an apology will make up for it, but they're still not going to give a straight answer until they've deemed it as "the right time", which is usually just when they're springing some sort of trap for their own devices.

I was summoned by another force, one which used their very 'self' to fuel it.

Come now, it should be obvious what 'force' I'm referring to.

That same force only had enough energy for three more 'summonings', by my estimation when I met it. Most likely once it has accomplished whatever it set out to do, it will die completely.

...So we need to figure things out before three more Summonings. That gives us... three weeks, including this one. Probably closer to two and a half, though.

...Truth be told, I had the feeling it was going to die anyway. But, I'll be pleasantly surprised if you all manage to figure out the truth with the way you're approaching it.

I suppose the best thing to think about is to notice that neither side is 'right'. That unlike in many mysteries, there is no good or bad side.

...and that you need to think about why this game is being played at all.

...Then again, this could all be the rambling of an old man who's off his rocker. Who's to say? Hahahaah!

...I just kind of assumed that neither side was 'right'. From the start, my ideal solution has been to find a way to force a draw, but I can't really think of a way to do that that doesn't end up with everyone here dead.

So the key question is "why the game is being played", is it...? Is there more to it than just both of them wanting the title of Witch of Dimensions for their own purposes...?

[She's not expecting an answer at least, just thinking out loud.]
