WEEK 3 INVESTIGATION

Three weeks had gone by, and even with the other Witch being revealed, Friday came.

Waking up on this day began to feel like the prelude to something horrible.

To a horrible sight...and some kind of deep betrayal, knowing that one of them had ended the lives of someone they'd been speaking and laughing with just the day before...🗈

...But, they had no choice. This was the game, and it had to be played - set in motion by the pair of Witches.

No matter how they felt, they had to search, to gaze upon cruel death in it's many forms.

No matter....how dear the person once was to them, today...they would be nothing but a corpse to gleam clues from, in preparation for the trial.

And so...they had to push forward. Forward...to find a terrible truth.

[It's...it looks like Akira's handwriting, from what you can tell beyond the scribbling on it. It looks like he was writing letters in case he died before they were scribbled on and shredded.]

[ Teamwork! He'll take the desk, looking through it and everything to see if there's anything else going on here. ]

Yeah, it looks like Akira was writing letters. Maybe we should try piece it together?

[ Can they piece the strips together? ]

[They can, but they won't be able to tell anything. These letters were scribbled on pretty hard.]

[ Can they see anything on the back? Or is there any blank paper on the desk that may have imprints left behind on it from the original letter? Or any words imprinted on the desk from his writing? ]

Though, on second glance, you may be able to notice a little bit on what they've put back together, one paper that seems a little less....scribbled on.

No, he probably wrote it in his room and discarded it later...then again I guess it's hard to know for sure. [ ... ] Let me know if you find something.

[There are a few handwritten notes about sleep aids, with Akira's musings on them.

Of special note is him talking about seeing chamomile and valerian root, and mentioning that they're part of Kurama's special sleep time blend, hoping that they'll help him get some sleep later on.]

...Just Akira's written notes on sleep aids. He has chamomile and valerian root mentioned in there, and they're part of Kurama's "special time sleep blend".

[ His eyebrows slant downwards as he considers something. ]

I just remembered something. I'd been talking with Akira this week, and I asked if he'd had enough sleep, and he answered that he's gone with less. I think he's been having a hard time sleeping.

[ But he'll take the notes with him. Could be a crime of opportunity, he muses. ]

[ He's not sure if he likes any of the thoughts that he has.

Putting a hand on the middle of Riku's back for a moment as he peeks over. ]

We can ask Kurama about it to see what he says. Maybe we should figure out who else knew about his sleeping troubles?

Oh looks like there's a message. You. You're? Two of the strongest. Something. I know. At the end of the day, i don't think I could have asked for... hmm. I can't figure it out. People from my world. That almost sounds like a farewell. Did he know something was going to happen?

Maybe he changed his mind? Or...someone else came in here to hide it?

I don't think Akira would have though... you know?

[ He frowns a little, thinking. ]

Akira could've been trying to write something and then someone later wrote all over it?

Maybe he wanted to leave something in case he died and someone else found it?

[ There's a pause as he looks at Riku for a moment longer before looking at the note. ]
