WEEK 3 INVESTIGATION

Three weeks had gone by, and even with the other Witch being revealed, Friday came.

Waking up on this day began to feel like the prelude to something horrible.

To a horrible sight...and some kind of deep betrayal, knowing that one of them had ended the lives of someone they'd been speaking and laughing with just the day before...🗈

...But, they had no choice. This was the game, and it had to be played - set in motion by the pair of Witches.

No matter how they felt, they had to search, to gaze upon cruel death in it's many forms.

No matter....how dear the person once was to them, today...they would be nothing but a corpse to gleam clues from, in preparation for the trial.

And so...they had to push forward. Forward...to find a terrible truth.

[They're very clear - and as he checks Akira and Ryuji, the reason why is obvious.

Akira's right hand is bloody, and his fingerprints are on the knife.]

[Now that was a thing, he carefully examines the hand, any injuries or signs of having been in a fight?]

[Is there signs of struggle on either one of them?, he stands up, now from the amount of blood, is it possible to tell if they were still alive when they fell?]

[There's no signs of struggle,, though as he looks he'll notice Ryuji has a shallow wound on his abdomen.

From the way the spike is showing through his mouth, Holmes will be able to tell Ryuji died instantly.

However....Akira will require a closer look to see, since he's face down.]

[And now, he crawls down to get a closer look at Akira, his brows knitting, now what does his body say about Akira's demise?]

[It's clear that unlike Ryuji, Akira did not die instantly. There's blood trailing from his mouth and nose,, onto the nightshade in the garden below.

From the way he looks, and that his eyes are half open...it's clear he drowned to death in his own blood from the spikes impaling both of his lungs.]

[He breathes out, that is not a pleasant way for anyone to go.

Now to be certain, goes the knife match Ryuji's wound?]

[...It's hard to tell, but since it's shallow...perhaps?

It is good to note it's over a kidney, though it never reached anywhere close to the organ.]

[The kidney again? He turns out pockets if there's any, and checked the soles of their shoes, Does that reveal anything?]

[Not a single thing, beyond that the soles of their shoes are slightly dirty. They HAVE been all over the island though, so that's not surprising.]

[He stands, and does a final glance over before he would call it good - anything else that might seem off?]

[Yes, actually! Though there are the obvious broken bones from the fall, Akira is to Ryuji's left side, and Ryuji's left arm is impaled on the fence, his hand basically touching Akira's body.]

Is the wound on Ryuji pre- or post-mortem?]

[Well, now is there any tracks that didn't get trampled on?]

[And any suspicious blood splatters? around the bodies, that doesn't seem right from a fall or choking on one's own blood? And the nature of the wound - slash or stab?]

[No suspicious blood splatters, no. The wound is definitely a stab, though.]

[Well, since both of the doctors are super preoccupied and perhaps once Kurama has finally let go of his hand instead of dragging him around like an only vaguely helpful charm accessory or the worst good cop to his bad cop ever -- Anon is here to corpse touch. Evidently just leaving the crime scene alone is beyond him. He pops up and contemplates for a moment.]

It really was well-aimed, wasn't it? Or somebody had pretty morbid taste in architecture.

[He's either talking to himself or Holmes is still around?? Whatever. Okay!

1. What does it mean that the fingerprints are clear? Are there no smears at all? Does it seem like the knife was used extensively or just the once?

2. Does the knife seem to have come from the mansion or does it seem more like a personal effect?

3. Time to strip some corpses! If no one stops him, that is. It's just the name of the Game. He's going to be careful but methodical, working them off the spikes if necessary. Any new information?]

[The fingerprints are clear due to only being grabbed once. There's a little smudging, but nothing too bad.

As for that...It could be a personal effect, or something someone asked the goats for. It's just a pocket knife, after all.

And as he strips the corpses...well. They're firmly in rigor mortis. Much like how it was in life, Ryuji's mouth will now never close.

There are definitely a shitton of broken bones, but nothing out of the ordinary with a fall from a second story building onto a spike fence.]
