It was noon on Saturday.

No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing...the moment the chimes rang out through the hall, they felt a change.

The world...began to expand, as they felt themselves leaving the world they were on, and towards another, much larger world...🗈

This new world looked like...the inside of an ornate courtroom, like something that wouldn't be too far from some kind of grand fantasy novel. The audience was full of people with Goat Heads...like some kind of bizzare trial proceedings.

The Witch - Yuuko - was there, sitting in the most important place, smiling in her mysterious way at everyone. There was no music to be heard, but... perhaps on another plane, in another place, someone else heard music as they gazed upon the proceedings.

As they looked around, they might have also been surprised to see that their forms had changed - perhaps only slightly, or a much more dramatic change. It seemed like this place demanded a different form in some way, even if it was just a change of clothing.

...There was a deep silence in the room, one that no one wanted to break. It was the faint tension in the air, like the moments before a race or a competition begins.

Yesterday had been the start of the game. But now, armed with all they knew...now, they had to truly go up against the Witch, and somehow.....win.

It's weird they used insecticide in general, isn't it? Like something to knock someone out is smart, but why that specifically? It'd have to be someone that would know what that kind of chemical would do.

Do any of our suspects garden, or something like that?

I water the school plants sometimes. But I don't really take care of them otherwise.

I don't... I was a lab assistant before, for full disclosure. I didn't really deal with chemicals, though; I just did things like sorting samples and scoring tests.

Well yeah... but I was hoping someone else would have seen one of our suspects at the shed at some point.

Not necessarily. If I denied it, and then someone turned out to have seen me enter, that would make me look guiltier.

Wouldn't a lab assistant be likely to know that as well? At the very least, they would likely need to know what everything is and what's safe to touch with your hands.

Yes, I'd know that much. I think it's kind of intuitive not to touch something that's made to kill living things, though. Bug sprays for home use usually say not to get in your eyes or on your skin on the warning labels.

It would make it likely to be Ms. Kino, or Miss Minazuki - I believe any of the other suspects would have likely hurt themselves using it.

It isn't, but neither is killing someone... And considering the way things look with this case, so far...
