WEEK 1

You all wake up on Friday Morning - having suddenly gone to sleep wherever you were before midnight on Thursday. And while it seems normal, just like any other day...you have a deep, sinking feeling in your gut that something isn't right.

Just as you think that, the hotel speakers suddenly crackle to life, drawing your attention and startling you. Heart racing, you listen to the announcement...

A giant spider killed this man, apparently.

He also still has his sheath on his waist, in the sash it's normally in - but the sheath has nothing but dust inside of it.]

[Nope! Beyond that he is totally shriveled. There's no other wounds, though that might not be surprising due to what apparently killed him.

There's also some footprints in the snow, and a odd bump with a slight shimmer to it away from the body.]

[The Towel is...well, it's a bathtowel given by the resort. Plain and white, with a monogrammed RESORT in all caps on it.

There's also the silk, but given that it's been in the snow for so long, it's no longer sticky. it seems decently large, but it's hard to tell what it was actually used for.]

[Hmmm. Ripley's going to investigate those footprints, maybe gauge them against her own foot size. Do they look as if they're from an adult or a child?]

[An Adult's! actually, they have a pointed tip that makes it clear it was Szayel's....except the footprints suddenly stop even though the ball is a bit away from them.

Kind of like he was dragged through the air...?]

[Hm! Okay! Ripley slowly turns her head up, looking to see if there's anything that might leap down at them or...any other evidence.]

[As she turns her head up, she'll notice a tree directly in the way. There's a few strands of golden silk on it, and it wouldn't be surprising to think that's where the spider was...]
