All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here - the Witch of Dimensions, Yuuko.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a horrible game.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request - and the tv in the Sitting Room - to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Despite being told someone will die, it...felt remarkably peaceful. Could one of their own really be able to kill someone?

...Or, maybe...this is just the silence that comes just before a massive storm breaks, and sweeps away everything...

Yes. It would. [Shadow leaves the box on the dock] I'm just getting rid of live ammo.

[He seems confused at first, tilting his head like a curious dog and making his goggle tassles flop]

Ammo... Oh! From the Bedroom. Yeah, good idea- that might just be too tempting for anyone looking to get a wish.

Indeed. Perhaps if they can't just shoot someone from far away, they will think twice about committing murder. [a pause] Besides. The guns were being stored fully loaded -- incredibly dangerous, considering.

[considering he doesn't trust half these people to find their ass with both hands, that is]

I've never handled a gun but I'm pretty sure that's one of the big Nos. That, picking your teeth with the sights, and holding it sideways to look cool.

Ugh. Holding a gun sideways is just a way to ensure you don't hit whatever you're aiming for. And no, you should certainly never point a gun at your mouth unless you have a death wish.

[Gun Safety Shadow strikes again]

[He makes the rest of his way over, putting the shells in his hip bags]

You know a lot about guns, yeah?

[Shadow nods, taking a seat on the edge of the dock]

More than the Foundation teaches -- they only hit the basics. In fact, they sometimes force me to train the new recruits out of 6350.

Oh, that sucks. But better the people you have to work with know what they're doing, right?

I work better alone.

[goldenmaniac]

Maybe, but you work with a Foundation.

Still, that sounds lonely.

It's not lonely. I'm not lonely.

I'd be lonely. So I guess you're lucky that it doesn't bother you then!

I outgrew the need for company many years ago. I recommend it. It makes you a better agent.

Hmmm... I would think having a good team would do that too.

[chaoscontrol]

[Shadow shrugs] I suppose. Reliable people are few and far between.

And if you shoot an SCP you save a man for a day, but if you teach a man to shoot you save him for a lifetime!

...or something. I think I lost my point somewhere.
